But is it all about points? Who's the best led, best organised? Who are the MRA's, who's up and coming? Would really like to know what some of you more established players think what makes a good alliance. Or do pheno really have it in the bag?

over all the biggest changes were the removal of UAE and AOA

the rise and fall of the DJ empire, some one should write a book about this!.

and hey! ML did some recruiting in the last year.....some.. we are getting up there!

Alright, I'll see if I can start it off, although my experience is very limited

1 Phenomen 9/10 always high on conquests, no1 and deserve it.
2 Xmortis 7/10 Qlander seems a great leader to hold together an alliance like this.Been around forever
3 Phoenix of Carthage dont know about these, alright core.
4 Titanus et Ares 3/10 meh, horrible.
5 Molon Labe 8/10 close knit, agressive.
6 StoneCutters 6/10 seem alright they seem to feed on TEA
7 Phalanx ? nope not known to me. seem spread out.
8 South East Syndicate 7/10 Eating up Mirage, nice posistion
9 Virtus Phoenix 6/10, good core, quietly expanding.
10 Dark Judgement whats the story with these? didnt they disappear for a bit?
11 Children of the Hydra ?
12 Elite Corpes ?
13 Wake of the Kraken ?
14 The Three Kings ?
15 Aetolian League Small, unpretentious. higher defensive bp than attack.
16 The Great Spartan Army 4/10 brave or stupid going up against ML. Bye bye
17 Titanus et Argos 0/10 TEA baby version. says a lot about TEA

1 Phenomen 10/10 prefect alliance
2 Xmortis 5/10 we have been fighting and beating them for a long time, but I respect Qlander
3 Phoenix of Carthage 8/10 have been strong since the start.
4 Titanus et Ares 1/10 without Krustard,and Mike62 should go down fast
5 Molon Labe 7/10 we are good... but we could always be better
6 StoneCutters 7/10 Have a whole new respect for these guys..(and gals ;) )
7 Phalanx 4/10 cowards.... senseless cowards
8 South East Syndicate 7/10 Kings in their waters.
9 Virtus Phoenix 6/10, good core
10 Dark Judgement 5/10 has gone down hill! but holds on, and fights back

12 Elite Corpes can't rank them.. but I guess they are alright.

Now for my ratings
Phenomen 10/10-Great alliance who have shown they are very strong oppenents I mean there is a reason along with others UAE is no longer an alliance on beta
2. Xmortis 7/10- Good alliance with a good leader and good members
3. Phoenix of Carthage 8/10- I have gained a new respect for them.
4. Titanus et Ares 2/10- They got a cs in one of my towns and withdrew it as soon as they saw it was gonna get broke. Alliance was crumpling once and it is bound to happen again.
5. Molon Labe 8/10- Very good alliance with great communication and very good players.
6. StoneCutters 9/10- My alliance.
7. Phalanx 7/10- I am very good friends with their leader and used to have some Phalanx members near me back in my o52 days.
8. South East Syndicate 7/10- Undisputed in their ocean.
9. Virtus Phoenix 7/10- Not heard much about them.
10. Dark Judgement 6/10- Slowly regaining their strength.
11. Children of the Hydra 5/10- Not heard much but I used to have a friend in that alliance.
12. Elite Corpes 6/10- Never heard much.
13. Wake of the Kraken- no rank never heard a thing.
14. The Three Kings 7/10- They are holding up well.
15. Aetolian League- No rank- Never had a dealing or heard a thing.
16. The Great Spartan Army 1/10- Please. Give me a break. Show no respect to anyone. Never even have the decency to reply to or even open mails. Not to mention the way they act.
17. Titanus et Argos 1/10- Well what are they at now? Ohhh yeah 397 members. But don't worry they have an academy now.
18. The Forgotten Legion- Who?
19. The Outcasts- Was invited by them once. They need to be outcasted even more than they are now.
20. Divine Angels of Death 1/10- Once the Smoking Reapers but never had good dealings with them.

I suppose I may as well give my opinion. But I won't be going below the top 10, due to a lack of time. May be a lengthy post. I think I'll spoiler it for you, make it easier to scroll down.

1. Phenomen
Been at the top or deserving of the top for a long while. One of the two superpowers of Beta, the other being Xmortis, in that they have almost triple PoC's(rank 3) points. Seem to have a plan going on involving SCHEUL, but whether it is true or not is yet to be seen. Still, they will be here for a long time, especially considering they are known to be pacted with the alliances most capable of taking them down, if that is even possible.

Grade: A

2. Xmortis
The other 'superpower' in points, with nearly double PoC's points, albeit about 6 times the members. Their ex-leader Qlander is well respected and definitely powerful. Seems to be an MRA, yet they have essentially closed their doors to recruitment. Once they trim down on the fat, they have the makings of a strong alliance, but for now, they're not much better than the new guy.

3. Phoenix of Carthage
Another strong alliance, warring on 2 fronts(unconfirmed on the southern front) with the other 2 protected by Pacts(unconfirmed if they are pacted with Pheno). My first pick should I ever be forced to leave DJ, they coordinate well, and have near total control over their prime oceans. Coupled with many great players, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Grade: A-

4. Titanus et Ares
Not an awful alliance, but has so much fat that there is not much the lean mean machine in them can do anymore. Rumors are going around about Krustard leaving the game, and Mike is possibly not trying hard anymore. With their warrior and politician gone, this is likely the end for TeA, being buffeted from all sides by powerful alliances.

5. Molon Labe
The powerhouse of the north, they are likely PoC's equivalents. Despite having a leader with a bit of an ego(no offense meant), they are helping in the TeA slaughter, although focusing more on The Great Spartan Army since they're in the way, and are rumored to be beating Xmortis, or have been. Have rarely lost a city from an active player. Will likely be around a while, especially considering they have been disbanded before.

6. StoneCutters
Full of jokers and lucky people who know how to play. The only alliance to take a city off me, and that's because I forgot to put in VM(well, actually I was just stupid). I took one back off them, but I digress. Was leading the fight against TeA in cities taken when they converted from the Dark Side, they know how to party, and enjoy taking the party to their enemy's city. However, like ML, they have a bit of an ego(no offense meant), and it is their likeliest chance of a downfall, outside of truly fighting Pheno(They may say they are, but they're too far away to do any real damage to each other)

7. Phalanx
The last top 10 MRA, and the worst average of them all, they have a lucky break in that they have a couple of good players. Not many, but enough that they may last a while, if PoC doesn't kill them first.

8. Virtus Phoenix
I don't know much, except that they are fighting Phalanx.

9. South East Syndicate
Ah, the well-liked little guys. Have taken on many #1 alliances and are still here. If they can grow stronger will definitely be a very powerful alliance.

10. Dark Judgement
First off, name is misspelled :p
We are still here, and we are possibly the 2nd most stubborn alliance in Beta(ML wins because they were DISBANDED before).
After a bad turn, good things are starting to happen to us now. For now at least.
