SoTW Season 1 - Announcement

Season Explanation
Each Season will run for 6 weeks, and can be considered 1 long competition comprised of 6 mini competitions. Every week, points will be awarded to each competitor. After the fifth week of competitions, anyone with 12 points or more will be invited to the final round, in which a special challenge will be issued, and a winner of the entire season will be determined.

Rules for Submitting:

• Entries can be premade, as long as they have never been public. LP crops of otherwise private pieces are also allowed.
• No RIPPING! The work should be an original. If there is any suspicion of ripping, we will ask you for proof (.psd, .xcf file etc...)
• You are only allowed one entry. This entry should be PM'ed to me, and made clear as to what it is.
• You may not post your images on another thread, or forum, to receive CnC until after the voting period has ended.



Voting Rules:

• You are allowed only one vote per competition.
• You are NOT allowed to vote for your own entries.
• Voting will be on a poll which will be set up shortly after the work deadline has passed.
• Comment on the voting thread explaining your choice.
• Speculation as to who created each piece will not be permitted.
• Campaigning for votes will not be allowed, and revealing your work prior to the voting completion will result in a disqualification.

You are only allowed to use that which is default for photoshop.
No stocks, fractals, renders, downloaded brushes, textures, etc.

Wo this is an excellent theme and will be interesting to see what contestants come up with for this but I think there is a difference in defaults of Ps and gimp

The knowledge that, as a winner, you have been voted the best overall over a 6 weeks period by a group of your peers.

In other words, there isn't an official reward as of now.

Also, if knowledge is the prize, the whole contest is way too long. I mean waiting 1 1/2 months for knowledge. I just dunno.

During final round will the topper of other round will get any privilege on the basis of their previous points or all finalists will be starting from zero again ?
