Love all - is taken out of context for today's language. Back then to show love meant being charitable and gracious. Giving from your heart and accepting form others with gratitude everyone can do for everyone else with little or no problem.

Trust a few - because you have to put out a certain amount of yourself to give trust.

Do no wrong... - take care not to intentionally hurt someone physically or emotionally.

All in all its a good and simple rule of thumb to follow throughout life. Give with love to all and do no wrong to any BUT always make your trust conditional on the circumstances in which you find yourself.
