Duh i figured to leave the alliance now looking for an active Alliance.

Hi All, I am a newbie i joined an alliance which is not active at all and was wondering how to i leave that alliance? And any good active alliance who are taking new members or an alliance i can join me? Any recommendation or help would be appreciated. Apologies if this is it in wrong board.
