Proposal:
To have a way to keep track of Gold purchases and uses

Have you Checked the DNS and PSI lists in the Archives?
Did not see anything similar

Reason:
When you use Gold a lot, or even just a little, its nice to be able to keep track of what you bought, when, and how much. Gold is just like any other currency, and it only makes sense to be able to keep track and manage it better.
This tool would help for that.

Details:
I was thinking it could either be a tab in the premium window, or another premium admin, but free (called, lets say The Accountant). Maybe that's the same thing, but its up for discussion.

Basically it would be an automated checkbook, but for gold. It would show when, how much, and from where you got the gold, then show when, and on what, you spent it. Maybe have windows for each item (i.e. cutting troop times) and then have it show a number of how many times you have used that, and how much you spent.

For instance, if I bought the Captain how much extra total BP did he produce.

Visual Aids:
Im not good at these, but if needed I can try something

Balance:
Does not affect gameplay, only keeps track of what you spend your money or time on.

Abuse Prevention:
Same as above, its just a checkbook really

Summary:
So in conclusion, there have been some times recently where i had no idea what happened to my gold, or even where some of it came from. I do not see an easy way to keep up with it, so I think this would really help.

Any criticism, lets hear it. Surely people have lost track of their gold sometimes.
I am surprised we don't have this already.

I have been missing gold before (not because of the recent advent calender thing) I support this idea 100% won't take much to put it into place & gives gold buyers peace of mind that they should have when purchasing something.

This would also stop the rants that I have been seeing recently.

I like the idea, its like a receipt so you know exactly what you spent your money on. If its possible you could take it a step further and add the stats to your purchases. For instance, if I bought the Captain how much extra total BP did he produce.

Great idea, I added that to the OP

Good idea. This way players can see their expenses. They can also make more wise investments on the game for their games.

Like a bank account. You get an e-mail on how much you spent on where. Especially for the players spending gold like crazy ; ) Another window or not, that should be great.

That's a nice idea. Maybe we could take the idea a step further and create another premium feature that is a stat tracker. It can keep track of stats like bp per month, day, time of day, ocean locations, islands, amount of time spent on game, bp earned with complete breakdowns, ect. Even though most of this information could be obtained from other sources, I would pay twice what I do for other features just to have this feature in game.

'The Accountant'?

Apart from that dreadful name, yes it's an all right idea.

Not groundbreaking, but common sense. Gold is a premium currency so all spendings of gold should be accounted for.

I suppose it's a good idea, for like when people say you're a gold whore and you built that wall up in 1 hour, they could simply post a scrnshot.

Why I can't see it being used: Inno won't place it in. It's sort of why Las Vegas' casinos don't place clocks in their casinos. If people look at how much they've spent they may slow down on buying.

I just see that issue already- people refusing to buy gold because of missing gold- I think that if this was put into place it would make those people that are seeing this as sort of sketchy, calm down a bit & possibly buy some gold.

I don't see it as a bad thing & think that anybody that wants us to buy their product should ensure we are getting what we payed for- I love the idea.

I see what you mean, but banks give you checkbooks and you still spend money. Its the same thing, all it does is keep track of what you spend your money on.

Great idea. I don't know why it isn't already implemented. Anywhere that real money is involved (yes that was real money you used to buy the gold) should be auditable.

Good idea.

It should also log deposits by yourself, by surveys and as a bonus (if possible) which survey it was.
