Quick question here,lets say i have an academy level 28 with battering ram researched. I get attacked with catapults which knock down my academy to 25 lets say with stone hail. Question is will i still be getting the bonus from battering ram or not ?

Yes, you will still get the bonus since you already researched it. You will lose 9 research points though (3 per level).

what about, if let's say he has lvl 28 academy, bat ram, and decides to pull down his academy will he lose the effects?... or can he even demolish it?

Anything already researched won't be affected. As for the second part, I can't answer it because I have never attempted to demolish my academy with that many researches. I don't think it would be possible because he would have negative research points.

you can demolish your academy, but you have to re-set your researches, which costs you culture points.

You can research what you need and pull back down you're academy as much as you want provided you dont go into negative points, below lvl 30 though you can't run festivals etc.

Conquest and cs ship dont require any research points so you could research those and bring it right down after if you just researched a cs escort and basics.
