Top 12 Alliances |Sink or Swim|

uhmmm interesting things if one takes time to go back and reflect upon things of who is where and who is what when it come to what is and whats not and one will see what is and what isnt on who has lasted and who hasnt within this world and a bigger picture within things


pg 1 top 12, no where to be found (nordic and totl was about just not top 12)
pg 8 top 12, nordic appears the rest no where to be found
pg 13 top 12, nordic and the rest no where to be found
pg 14 top 12, same
pg 16 top 12, same
pg 17 top 12, same
pg 18 top 12, nordic and now caged appears, rest no where to be found
pg 24 top 12, nordic - caged - Totl, rest no where to be found
pg 25 top 12, same
pg 26 top 12, same
pg 29 top 12, DR appears along with DA,
pg 32 top 12, same
pg 35 top 12, TWD
pg 38 top 12, same
pg 40 top 12, same
pg 44 top 12, totl II comes into it (but had been around long before that)

Alliances come and go with the wind, and some scatter to the 4 winds, and then you have the ones who buck that wind and keep right on plowing into it and withstand even the strongest of winds. Those are your mainstays. The other factor is where an alliance is located at, and within the fights they can withstand and outlast within, and still take ground or hold ground within it. A rim alliance has only one direction within which to fight a core alliance has multiple fronts. There is a lot of determining factors one has to dwell upon before one can say if an alliance is going to sink or swim. For a lot of alliances everyone thought was swimming have sunk to the depths of no return, but a few over the course of this world so far haven't and those are the battle worn who know how to fight and buck that wind.
So before one bust another good bottle on an alliance to sink or swim, they might want to think and reflect back on who's who in the top 12.

Top 12 Alliances Sink/Float/Swim

Swim/ They are large and not facing a lot of opposition. They have a strong core and are far more powerful in abp than dbp showing they are quite strong. I would say chances are they pose a serious threat to DA, red phoenix and DR.

Nordic Warriors
Float/ They have a high dbp but seem to be holding on and getting good abp at the same time. I don’t expect them to make any huge moves but will stay in the world for a long time to come.

Pull my finger
Float/ They seem to have enough points and an ok core but sort of low on bp could it be that lack aggression. They are near the south so there is a danger of Caged and Nordic warriors, if either 2 finish their fight.

Dominion Rising
Swim/ They have a high abp with a relatively low dbp and have just continued to grow. They might face some problems in the future but most likely will be a key strong alliance.

Caged
Float/ I could have sworn they were bigger. They are have a small core which last time I heard TOTL were interested. They are certainly deep in fighting though so no one can question their aggression.

TOTL
Sink/ My reason for this is there abp is way too low and their dbp is way too high. They should have much more abp. Also they have Caged and NW near them I suspect that if either of them were to really try and knock them out it would probably happen. From what I see they are not fighting anyone now so they are safe for a bit. There good thing is there strong allies to the north.

Red Phoenix
Sink/ They have a very low abp while their enemy SWANS has a high abp. They will be defeated in the future because they are not aggressive enough. It would lead to the downfall of any alliance.

The White death
Sink/ They are nothing special just doubt they will be good enough to survive surrounded by better alliances who are all engaged in other things I think. Plus they were getting whooped by phalanx and presented very little resistance.

Resurrected
Sink/ They take not being aggressive to a whole new level. They are ranked 10 in points but 42 in abp and 72 in dbp. They could surprise me and survive but it is my guess that if they are presented with a real war, they will end up failing and losing.

Crimson Empire
Swim/ These guys are strong in abp and are rising steadily nice strong core and at least one academy. I think these guys have a good future once rim and core clash.

–A41-
Float/ They have a good abp and an ok dbp. They are nothing too special but not anything less than good. They could go either way right now so I would say that they would float on by.

Probably the worst top 12 I have read so far... no research done on conquests or alliance history and no understanding of the political status between alliances in the game.

So bad I had to sign up to the forums to comment ;)

"Itz So Fluffy" have just been joined by about 15 new players - They're now in the top 12, and seem to be one of the only ones in the top 12 that can actually win a war, without it going to a stalemate or having to recruit members from the other alliance to see it collapse.

Despite the name of course... :'D

Just love it how we are always going to sink or that we are sinking, We don't have a high ABP, we are in the middle of super powers and our DBP is to high BLAH BLAH BLAH........... There's more then one ways of getting CP boys and girls, and the last time I looked the cheapest and fastest way was by getting DBP. Way to funny, just keep watching and learn something new. This is not a revolt world, where ABP is more important than DBP. But sit and watch a good show, cause it's about to get interesting for Y'all, lol. As TOTL sinks again next week and the next and so on and on, at this point we should be with Poseidon, lol.

People fall in love with ABP and I think it is mostly incorrect. Not the accrual of ABP - you need to attack. But the idea that high ABP and low ABP makes a good fighter/alliance

If you have all ABP - you are just attacking and atacking and attacking. So what? The day will come where you will have to attack and defend and the attack only model does not preapre you for all the nuances of that portion of the game.

that sounds awesome in theory and is applicable in military practice sometimes. And everyone loves the examples but don't recognize they accounts for less than 1% of the war transacted on our planet. Most war is just poor people hacking each other to death with crude implements - no time for a good or bad offense there.

"The best defense is a good offense" is a self evident truth that most oxygen consuming species do not need told to them. By analogy, I am a genius because I say "try not to hit anyone with your car one the way to work today" Gee - do you think?????

Don't forget, if an enemy alliance keeps conquering your cities, and you spend all your time trying to break sieges, you're earning tons of ABP, but losing cities. Hardly a formula for success, don't you agree?
