Discussion Att/def values of tb & cs

I'm not sure whether it's something I just don't understand or that it's actually a mistake, and I don't know if anyone has a simple answer for this so I made it a discussion.

I was wondering how it's possible that in practice 1 bireme (or even 1 LS or 1 CS) could kill 100 transports without an LS escort. If the unit information is right 1 transport has an attack value of 20. Shouldn't that mean that 8-9 transports (without any bonuses) could kill 1 bireme?
The simulator (and grepo-reality) tell otherwise however. Same with a colonyship, which could be killed by 1 single LS, even though a CS has a defense value of 500, so in theory you would need 3 LS to kill 1 CS.

TS attacks and dense value works when u got LS escorted.(just my guess from simulator) As for CS. U don't exactly say that when it comes to troops, they attack with three types of attack each turn when defending, right? So, attack value counts when defending attacking. I mean 500 defense value works when u have a city under siege or have brms with CS in any city, so, when any player attacks the city that has CS, CS's defense value gives lower ratio of killing for the attacker but it can't attack when defending(just my guess). Thats all I can think of.:( don't have good answer. Even I am confused with my answer!

I see what you're saying, I think. Both TS' attack value and CS' defense value are only taken into account when they are accompanied by battle ships, otherwise they're worthless, is that it?
