Attacking your own conquest

Hi guys, earlier i made a boo boo and sent defense troops as an attack instead of support on a town i have in siege, the problem is my troops all died even tho its my conquest.
So the question is have things changed recently or was this some sort of bug?

Did you already have any defence stationed in there?

You have always been able to attack your own conquest in ghost towns.
Was this a ghost town?

yes it is a ghost town

Do you really think it was such a smart idea to post which ghost you were going after.

You have always been able to attack your own support in other cities (ones that are not your own).

dosent matter, town is mine now, just expected the troops to be in peace time but meh...
