Battle of Serenity Valley - MrLeN's downfall

The cyborg army creaked in unison as it lumbered through the broken gates of cyborg city. Out of time and place, the army of rusty maintenance droids struggled to make headway through the rocky desolate landscape to the north.

Their supreme commander, C3PO, wasn't a happy droid. How had he gotten himself into this. True he was one of the few driods that could behave independently of the core but he wasn't cut out for warfare (the sky rumbled loudly overhead). His second in command, C3P1, was a solidier driod of sorts, he bellowed commands to hapless robot soldiers, "somebody pick up that arm", "whose leg is that? Find the owner on the doub...". the cry faded to a mumble, as his electronic mind drifted off to thoughts of Transformers (and the sky rumbled loudly overhead).

The cyborg army hauled itself over the brow of the hill, too late to turn back! MrLen had given C3PO the battle plan, "or was it a shopping list?", he thought to himself. There'd probably been a mixup somewhere. The sky exploded loudly overhead. C3PO barely noticed the huge ball of electrical energy explode towards his troops, he was thinking of that girl in Transformers, if only he had a...

Flying, falling, bouncing, unbearable sound exploding around him, saturated in white light....blackness....

C3P1 wasn't a happy droid, yes he was built to be a soldier but he was a bit rusty now and his diodes ached which made it all a bit of an effort - that's why he shouted so much. He wished he could just forget about this whole war business, he'd rather be plugged into his wall socket watching the Droids' Have Got Talent. At that moment he had a saddening thought, he wasn't built to be exploded into a million pieces and put back together again.

A sobbering thought as he saw the lighting bolt strike....

C3PO restarted his internal systems and opened his electronic eyes, well one of them, the other was already open. A few whispers of metalic fibre hung down where his metal eyelid had once been. He felt sluggish. He checked to see if he still had his digital watch he'd bought on Titan and found it wasn't there, neither was the arm it was strapped to! He decided to check his damage systems, "perhaps he should have done that first?", he mused.

Finally noticing the carnage around him C3PO knew they were in trouble. Almost half the cyborg heavy artillery now formed pretty puddles of melted silicon and steel. Some droids were sinking into it, no chance of escape as their lower extremeties bent and twisted from the heat of the liquid metal.

C3PO knew they had to keep going but which way was it? He had no idea but he decided to click his heels 3 times and go in the direction his left foot ended up pointing in, it was a bit loose and often flapped about. Once, twice, the 3rd was a really vigourous heel click. "That way", he offered meekly, pointed with his arm that wasn't there and limped off aimlessly, the remaing droid army ignored him and continued on their pre-programmed course.

C3PO limped straight into the path of a blinded artillery droid, it's sensors destroyed by the white hot lightening. As it's huge body rolled over him, slowly crushing him, C3PO couldn't help but think to himself, "I'm really not having a good day!".

The treacherous MrLeN, who had recieved only help and support from his neighbour, sat gibbering in his glass tower. His droid army was gone. Not a single survivor! Only the support from his friends remained in his city, keeping him safe for a time but MrLeN knew he wouldn't have skirt tails to hide behind for long. His doom was near. MrLen threw his dummy out of the window, damn that's the 5th this week" he thought as he strode off to find his mummy to ask for a new one.
