Best thing for you to do when looking for an alliance.

Step 1 If somebody invites you without sending you a message first, don't accept this.Would you join something in real life without knowing what you are joining.

Step 2 Click on ranking, then ocean alliances.Your best option is to join some alliance that is compacted in your area with a good point average. If you join a decent alliance they will help you with the basics of the game.

Step 3 Never join a alliance where you receive a message saying..come join us or do you want to join.

Step 4 To complete the quest all you need to do is create your own alliance, then disband it when your finished.

Step 5 Step 1,2 and 3 are to help you find your feet.Step 4 answers your question.

Step 6 Always wear a tinfoil hat while playing this game.Otherwise other alliances will be able to hear you thoughts :p

Step 7 There is no step 7...

Step 8 If somebody sends you a message trying to recruit you and mentions the word elite, run away as fast as you can.Anybody who uses this word is not what they claim to be...

What Prendraga said, especially step 6!!!

When looking through invites (those who actually bothered to contact you via messages anyway), I recommend politely declining all invites that have a poor quality of grammar. Never seen any poor grammar leaders do well!

Most of the best alliances will have messages that are at least 2 paragraphs long (some top quality alliances do manage with just one). If they ask you questions about yourself this is a great sign as it shows they aren't just recruiting namby pamby!
