Pending Cosmetic bug: Zeus Divine Statue

Click on the Divine statue in the city. There is a brief description of the special structure and a background image.

There is no background image for the Zeus Divine statue. Zeus is not happy about this insolence.

This is a simple bug, it should be caused by a mistyped file name or link address. I hope it gets fixed in the next release. Thank you.

I didn't even know that worshipping a different god made the statue look different.

Thanks for the speedy response! I can't wait for Artemis to be implemented. ;)

Edit: It seems like Hades statue image is broken now.

If these are showing for you sometimes but not others, it is likely something at your end.
Have you tried the usual refreshing your screen, logging out and in again, clearing your cookies, trying a different browser?

I am not in the know here, but it seems extremely unlikely that something that does not affect gameplay would be hot fixed within 2 days, and the day before a new release. That just doesn't happen.

Yep, I have tried all those.

It seems to me that the statue problem was indeed hot-fixed. At least one previous poster had confirmed my initial bug report.

Now it seems that the Oracle image is bugged. I saw the image link embedded in the html code of the page, so if it does not load, it definitely means there is a problem on the server side.

Hello swern, I believe Sirloin is right and this problem is most likely coming from your end.

Will it be okay with you to open a ticket here? Doing so will allow us to further investigate your issue thoroughly and better determine whether this is in fact an issue in-game or one from your browser.

I honestly believe it is not a problem on my side. I have Chrome, Firefox and IE, tested on them all.

I have even taken a screenshot of the relevant html code lines.

As I had replied in the ticket, the problem still exists.

I will display all the special buildings' images on this forum post.
For me, the Oracle image still cannot be displayed. It shows a dead link, and navigating to it shows a 404 error.
I find it hard to believe that it is only a matter of clearing the cache or refreshing the page.

Well since they look great for me and not for you that would indicate it is something at your end, not at the server end, wouldn't it?
I have checked from opera, chrome, and firefox, and all the pics show in all those browsers for me.

I tired accessing the image via an online proxy (hidemyass, server location from Netherlands), and finally the Oracle image shows up.

However, nothing shows up for me with the normal link: http://gpen.innogamescdn.com/images/game/buildings/oracle.jpg

I faintly remember something similar happening when porn sites are blocked: you could navigate to the address, but nothing gets loaded on your browser.

Not sure why the Oracle image is considered as 'objectionable content' by the powers-that-be though...

I suspect it might have something to do with the ISP's proxy misconfiguration and/or my location (Singapore).

This issue is not yet resolved for me, but since it is a minor cosmetic issue, and has nothing to do with gameplay, I'm willing to leave it as it is.
