Crazy Trade rates?

Does anyone actualy buy resources at 3:1 trade level? Or even 2:1. I mean I see trades posted like 1000 wood for 2000 silver. And I think to myself who is the Idiot that actualy accepts that when they can trade in their island at 1:1.25 or 1:1.35 with the Merchant Shop.

Personaly becuase of the Islands I am on I always need wood and silver. But I tend to do decently with 1000 Stone for 1300 wood (a slightly lower exchange rate the merchant shop gives)or 1000 silver for 1400 wood (slightly higher then MS. gives)

Are there realy that many noob who buy at ruinous rates?

in my personal view trading in upsilon is slow, and trading with high rates is even slower, those who are in ocean 77 and 86 and 87 know how my rates are and they are always 1:1.1 and so far i manage to trade them all as fast as i would of traded at 1:1 ratio on the market.
