Down with Grecolympia

Is anyone else suspicious that all these server issues started right around the time this greedy Grecolympia scam was instituted? I just want the servers to run, to play the game, and not waste gold and troop on some money-hungry minigame, am I right?

There's some players who like to gamble their luck with things like Grepolympia *cough* skullyhoofd *cough*. But other than that, most players probably don't pay with the exceptions of ones who buy extra slots so that they can have training going on during the work/school day or during their sleeping hours.

Summary:
I wouldn't consider this a money hungry minigame. I just consider it a little horse-race styled fun. It really is like a horse race where the richest and most active players win.

After any kind of update, I'd expect some issues. Perhaps the next one should be more thoroughly looked at before release. There were quite a few issues over this.
