Wow. I'm not saying that I don't know how to read a forum, that I'm being a solo player, inactive or noob (attacking with swords and unescorted transports).
But I would feel stressed being in your alliance. I have made mistakes and some times when it was important not to, but I haven't got kicked for such a reason.

If I'm under attack, I'll do my best to be online most of time, but not if that means I will fail my exams next day.

I'm not trying to change any of your methods, but there are also noob players (I was a noob attacking with swords until I figured out that each type had an attack value and defence value - even till today I'm still experimenting on which mixing of troops is better for an attack), there is also real life (it can happen even to the best of us ;)) and there can be mistakes (forget about timing and not sending a CS attack)

lol I make mistakes.. we all do.. and we all have RL, but if a player is causing other people work time and time again then that is an issue.

Evo is a highly skilled and active alliance, we make that very clear when recruiting.

But a player that posts a support post like 'help, getting attacked! send support' and no other details.

Then I speak to them and tell them how to request support and you get the same post the next day and the day after and the day after that.. at some point you have to stop banging your head against a brick wall! lol

Clarification

This is how this thread started during the New Year:

"LEGION has started merge with Athenian Elite. With v2.0 coming out Evolution will be your new nightmare. We have gathered the best players from us both and continuing with our world domination plan."

LOL:D

Since "setting themselves apart" from old LEGION II and Athenian Hammer, Evolution has invited former LEGION, Eternal Myrmidon, Athenian Hammer, Olympians, pretty much from any alliance under the sun. They even threatened players from other alliances to join them or face destruction. Due to this recruiting policy, there became 3 branches, one turned out to be dysfunctional and underproductive at best when put under minor pressure.

http://www.grepostats.com/world/en9/alliance/7455/colonizations

So right now, The Forgotten are accounting for the city losses that Evolution doesn't want to retain because the players Evo invited from Athenian Hammer turned out to not be "good enough" for them, again.:heh:

http://www.grepostats.com/world/en9/player/941438/colonizations

http://www.grepostats.com/world/en9/player/761042/colonizations

The interesting part about this whole thing was jpitre was part of Evolution2, not the defunct Evolution3. I agree Lozza, I would bet that Evolution does not have policy about kicking players when they start losing cities. And yet at a player's darkest hour, Evo leadership shows their true character. It doesn't matter which branch you're in Evolution, be forewarned of this growing "trend." Whatever you do, don't lose a city! :pro:

Wow, what a <bleep> alliance that was. I have now joined The Forgotten, may i ask that you have some compassion and perhaps spare me Deepdiver 7? I would at least not be starting from scratch?

now that my alliance has left me for dead, now can you reconsider my application for Atlantic league. I would like to get back at some player on evolution.

Thanks

As you are aware we are moving dot 3 into the other 2 alliances. The council has decided that some players were recruited and in hindsight it maybe wasn't the best decision for the player. Some are too far out and a target for our enemies. Some aren't aggressive enough to keep up. You are one of these players and we believe that you'll be better off in another alliance.

We're sorry that we've not been the right alliance for you and wish you all the best in the future.

Feel free to continue hitting them. I get it if you don't. Brown flags bore me too :)

Oh we intend to take them out completely, as soon as they all come off of vacation lol. One even asked us if he could join The Brotherhood because he had "insider information" on Evo's "big plan to move east".

He said, "I will tell you this much, Ocean 64 won't be safe for very long."

Never was. We didn't even move much into Ocean 64 until The Chosen and Eternal Myrmidon wanted beef with us. Haha... Guess we showed them.

Plus, who needs another spy in the biggest alliance on Iota? I have people that I've never spoken to directly giving me a heads up about our guys being targeted. No kidding, we took about 8 cities already and all we've met up with is a couple of bireme walls and a couple retaliation LS bombs sent our way. It looks like the BP Oil Spill Crisis over here.

Since you're bringing up names jpitre was already on the list to be removed prior to him being attacked.

He was set a target to reach. I was very clear that unless he spoke to me then he would be booted if he didn't meet their targets (he was given 4 weeks to meet this target). The target wasn't unrealistic and there should have been no reason for him not to have reached it. However, had he spoken to me I would have discussed this and possibly agreed an alternative target. Instead he chose to ignore me. Then when getting attacked he posted very limited information on the forums which meant that players who work hard lost support which could have been avoided.

There is no excuse for lack of communication. Players spend a lot of time on this game and don't want to lose troops for someone that can't be bothered.

I'm sorry if you think this is harsh, but I don't.

Edit. Same goes for deepdiver.

This isn't harsh. It's reality. If you won't help us help you then...there is nothing we can do.

And...since we're bringing up names. Lets talk about Deepdiver for a moment, even if only so that forum readers can have a chuckle.

Deepdiver made 8 (yes...eight) separate threads consisting of little more than an attack or wisdom report. No additional information such as whether or not he/she was in revolt or if there were more attacks on the way. My favorite of the lot was an espionage of 8 hydras heading toward him. Was there additional information about this attack? Could you readily tell if this wisdom was a separate city (from the other 7 threads)? NO. The only accompanying information with that espionage was the following phrase:

"HELP!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All this work for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Dude...you've got the espionage...DODGE IT.

All again happening after we'd already spoken to the player several times when we really shouldn't need to be speaking to them about it in the first place.

Yeah...we booted him. I'm not sorry. Who would be? Honestly...what alliance leader/member wants to put up with that?

Supporting my alliance players doesn't cramp my style. Please let me know if I can help you with anymore of your needy and bothersome players.

P.S. making them into turtles won't help.;)

It doesn't cramp my style either. Heck...I'll set my alarm clock to get up in the middle of the night to time support in order to snipe a CS. Provided I have the information in order to do so...

This wasn't about us not wanting to lose cities under our flag, or us being jerks about support. It was about players that WILL NOT communicate...even after being instructed that it's really for their own benefit. We still have a few. They'll probably get the boot too. You are welcome to bring them into your fold when their flags go from red to brown.

Gotta love them 8 hydras. Them are fierce! :D

In his defense, at any one time during those few days, he had 20-40 attacks on his cities. Tough to copy and paste all those bbcodes and build defense at the same time... takes hours. I hope they are working on something that makes it easier to link bbcodes to forum posts in Grepolis 2.0. I have hundreds of word docs just to keep all the info so i can copy it multiple times.

I'm not being A Butt here Butttt, if you have to set your alarm clock to send support then that don't say to much of the members in that Alliance if they depend on some-one setting their alarm clock...

It says that if I need to get up at 2am to help save an alliance members city I'll set my alarm clock to do it...and then go promptly back to sleep.

Sure...you can just blind send when your buddy is in revolt but if you know a CS is on the way why put units in front of the clearing waves?

What if you are really close and your member logged on after being out for the day and found themselves in revolt with a CS on the way with not enough time for people further away to get support to him/her in time. Posting a proper support thread helps me say "Hmmm...I have 50 Bir close by and they'll smash that CS so lets not burn any more units then we have to...lets snipe it."

But...if you just post "Eeeek!!! I'm under attack" I go ahead and get a good nights sleep.

"Hi, My Name is Syliss, and I'm a Grepo Addict..." ;) Setting alarms for timing a perfectly good attack or support scenario in Grepo is What I call dedicated, and active players. I work third shift and am Proudly Guilty of doing this in order to ensure Our Alliance members/Coalition get the support they require. Call me Crazy. :::Wicked Grin:::
