TOP 5 teams after server has been open for 5 weeks ! What a fitting time to do a proper analysis on WHO is killing WHO, the ones that are at the top, alliances that are wasting away or have already fallen and someone who is maybe just surviving or chilling for fun. I will try to cover all the most interesting aspects of the current state of the world, share my subjective opinions with the intent of them being objective, and also make predictions about the future.
My name is Ed and this is Fylakas Newspaper - Issue 1. I intend to do this at least monthly for my own and hopefully others enjoyment and in hopes it will stir up more action and excitement about the current world. Sit back, make some coffee or tea with cookies, alternatively bring a keg of beer and prepare to be entertained. Without further ado and any more bla bla bla, let's start.
For everyone to have a better understanding about...basically ANYTHING, let's take a look at the world map. There are of course many alliances participating, but let's be honest - what we all want to see is who is fighting for that crown thing. Currently there are only few of them with couple kinda just surviving.
We have 5 big teams currently dominating the world. Each team consists of at least 2 or more alliances. To have an even better understanding, please take a look at this first table i have prepared.
Looking purely on points, the current leader of the world is Fortress coalition, having 2nd highest number of active players (those who are showing green in game) and the highest number of average points per player.
They are closely followed by Sunshine coalition with the most number of active players, but significantly lower average points.
In third place we have Pirates with the least number of active players, however their average points are pretty high.
Owllusion and Aliens coalitions have quite less average points per player and they are currently at the bottom of barrel.
Now i want you all to look at other statistics that offer different perspective and changes to the leader board.
If we look purely on the number of cities each coalition has, the leader is clear - Sunshine. They dominate O45 with 552 cities and has a decent chunk of O55 too.
Next in line is Fortress who is the leader of O55 and has 527 cities there, but also being the Nr. 2 coalition in O54.
Owllusion is situated almost entirely in O54 with 532 cities and besides Fortress they don't have any real enemies that could oppose their rule there.
Pirates are the leaders of O44 with 551 cities and they are arguably the most consolidated group of players focusing basically only on their home ocean.
Finally, Aliens are the only group who doesn't own an ocean and they are in the middle between Sunshine and Pirates. This does not look good moving forward.
But as we know, high points don't always mean that the alliance is gonna definitely win. Also the number of cities don't mean much if you are in a bad position. Most often it's WHAT kind of players it has that determines whether it will rise to it's glory or fall to it's knees. That's why, let's take a look at the current TOP players analysing the usual TOP 100 and also the TOP 35, since only 35 can win the server.
Here the situation is pretty one sided. Sunshine dominates in both rankings with the most attackers, defenders and overall fighters. And to make things worse, in TOP 35 ranking their lead is quite more significant. Fortress, however, in both rankings has the highest number of players with the most points in the game. Owllusion actually has the least number of players in TOP 35 by quite a big margin. And finally, Pirates, considering their number of players, has the second highest number of fighters in TOP 100. This shows how elite this group is looking.
