i wouldnt say that... if you cant take at least a couple of cities from enemy when you run ally wide OP then its not exactly progress.. just feeding enemies with bp to open more slots and get stronger...it was more of a test for us than them but i think all things considered it went okay, More to come

well, I don't agree with the first part. Taking cities means nothing in WW, unless you can take cities on important islands or enemies' WW islands.
I was quite surprised at Bouncy/Air, when many people left/activated VM while fighting against Heavy Metal/Sunshine, not sure if they are an alliance or just some people gathering, and ready to leave their team mates behind whenever being attacked.
You can see @shadow dark , even he lost many cities, he still could found more cities than what he lost. In fact, you couldn't wipe out any people in this game if they want to stay. That's what you guys talked about "quality" above. "Quality" players might lose some cities, but they never give up, never leave their team mates when being attacked heavily.
In fact, Bouncy and Air are still considered a decent contestant but they are lack of leaderships. If they found someone who could raise their flags again, they might lose some more cities but they could still re-organize to have a chance on winning this world.
