Gold to Cut Demolition Times?

Question: So I was just about to conquer a 6K point city, and from the time I sent out my CS till now (2 hours till it lands) it dropped to 1.7k points. Can you use gold to cut the demolition times in half, just like construction?

Rant: If so, what kid actually pays real-life cash to screw someone in a video game?

I guess so. I just got the city and it's 1500 now. It was 5900 when I sent my CS. All the resource fields are level 1. *sigh*

thats the most disgracefull use of gold ive ever heard of, and anything other than the advisers is just destroying the game, lets see whos hitting those credit cards hardest :( its a joke
