hey uh slobo you do realize hacienda is just a snazzy term for 'farm'.
hmm well actually they're plantations, mines, etc. aimed at being self-sufficent and making the luxuries needed for the creoles and peninsulars (occasionally the common people like native americans or slaves/free blacks or mestivos) around the 1700-1800's in the Latin American colonies. nobody cares about the technical term though just that it basically means farm.
