This video ran out of time so I didn't get a chance to do colors so I will tell you here.
For this:
I did
"Layer"---->"New from Visible"--->Select new layer---->
Made colors black and white on the tool bar--->"colors"--->"Maps"---->
"Gradient Map"--->Go to layer--->Select "Overlay"
Then I repeated this process but with red and white instead.
