Idea - Merging No-End Game Worlds

Hello,

I saw that Inno has put some surveys on the old no end game worlds such as Bellophron. Asking whether the world should end and how it should end. I think rather than closing down those worlds you should merge them with other old worlds such as Bellophon merging with Achilles and Hyperborea. It will revive those servers and maintain the casual player base.

Before I played a game called Lords of Ages, where none of the servers had an end game, instead they would merge servers. Cities in the same coordinates will get randomly moved to a free location.

Just an idea.

I agree there with you
as are a lot of players who are playing in the [ old worlds] as they call them , have been playing them for years and they do so as it is basically a safe place from all that goes on in the other worlds [ we wont go into that but we all know what I am talking about ]
you dont get too distressed or have worry to much if you lose a city as you just get another because there is no End game
these worlds are really just for fun
it is where all your old friends are a kind of meeting place if you will
as I said many players have been on these worlds for years while also playing in the other new worlds
and I think it would be a great disservice to all the players on these worlds just to shut them down even if there is a count down

I've been playing for the last 3-4 years in Naucratis (it is the only world I play in). Its a nice leisurely, slow paced world. It is definitely a nice place for some relaxed play. I probably will stop playing entirely if this kind of world goes away. I don't spend a lot of cash on the game, but the $20 here and there for gold is worth the joy I get from the game.

Hi, i am from Achilles and posted earlier i was happy for them to end, but this is a VERY good post, i like the idea and concept, this way nobody loses anything, same Town Count, keep current funds and will add new dimensions to tactics as you only know what's going on in your world as we do ours, new enemies and new friends ? GREAT concept, BIG Thumbs UP.

I'm all up for a world merge, but if not and it's closing time, then it's a good bye from me as I retired from active normal worlds a long time ago.

Hi Guys,

I'd just like to say I also play 2 no end game worlds plus 2 endgame ones, but why on earth would Inno end them when I know players are enjoying them and more importantly to Inno they still spend gold on them. I think it very unreasonable to end any already running no end game worlds as it is all some of the players can manage and they still look forward to playing. I have been playing for nearly 12 years and played 20 worlds and I would not want them to end. Best Regards RR

What a stupid idea, there's more to merging worlds together than the braindead majority think. Everything will need to be rearranged and reordered and isn't as simple as putting players cities from other worlds onto the new map in a free location. Lord Of Ages was a pathetic game doomed to fail regardless of the world merging and those who played it are equally as pathetic. Keep all the old worlds separate, all those worlds are dead for the same reasons they're currently open, to simmer away from the heated newer worlds all with their different settings, they have no other real purpose.

Obviously from all the old world players that have spoken up so far, they will either riot or quit altogether if you shut down the 4 no end game worlds. So if you really hate your player base Innogames then do it shut all these worlds down. The newer generation of players will be laughing dramatically at all this and I can't say I blame them.

I understand, if Inno closes en32 and en41, but closing en45 would be strange. It was supposed to be Elysian Fields - an afterlife for all eternity.
Besides: Inno does approximately zero service on en45. The villages are old school with 8 per island. Upgrades cost resources and not battle points. There are still no heroes. The players seem content though, that they don't have to spend time doing quests to level up heroes.
The server har been around since 2012. I won't miss it too much, if it closes.

I'm active on en112. I spend gold there. If it closes, I hope Inno will buy back the gold I bought, because I don't have time to play on new servers at the moment.
Naucratis is a server with tons of people, who log in every day. I will be slightly bummed out, if that server closes, because I've spent time on levelling up all heroes available to me to level 20, as well as all villages are lvl 6. I've built tens of thousands of ships and hundreds of thousands of troops.
Sometimes en112 functions as a pit stop for active crews, who are waiting for a server with their desired settings to pop up. Most normal is that "retired" players join the server after years of dedicated grepo service. There they can stay in contact with the grepo community. It happens old players begin playing new servers. I think, that the old server have an important social element to them. It also happens, that players invite other players to play new worlds. This dialogue typically happens via PM or in alliance forum. So recruitment to new servers happens in old servers. Also it happens, that people who want to quit grepolis alltogether get recruited on new servers to stay in grepo world by playing a server like en112.
