Is Beta really dead?

With the idea's changing from an alliance with 50-90 members being some of the best to small tightnit alliances with no inactives, is Beta undergoing an evolution? Could it be that Beta is essentially an insect,the pupil stage ended and the cacoon of inactivity and boredom began but will emerge with a new force and vigor? Or is this just another building block in the Jenga game Beta is?

Well the forums may be dead but the battles in o54/64 are getting quite heated. The last week has been one of my busiest in game for a while.

The rim is getting interesting IMO. KotR seem to be poaching their way into other alliances oceans whilst leaving communications open with these alliances which is quite humourous . There seems to be a rim race beginning from some of the larger alliances to take over the rim. A lot of dodgy tactics going around on the rim aswell. DS seem to be picking up now aswell which is no suprise considering the change in war enthusiasm.
