Discussion is it better to have a second city in same island??

some of my friends said that if i am looking for the second city it is better to have one in the same island ..what is ur openion guys

I wouldn't listen to your friends, at the early stages taking two cities on the same island is not a good idea as it slows down your growth and potential resource income from farming villages. I'd advise going on the island next to you if it has a nice sized city to take.

If you are playing a revolt world, and you are past the early world stage (more than 6-7 cities) having cities on the same island benefits defense.

Conquest world, having cities on the same island benefits offense.

if your young in the game I wouldn't exactly worry about it yet, but you should think of the pros and cons for both, for example, if you have your second polis in the same island you can support it faster, if you don't you can conquer more reach farther places, over all, I would keep my second city with my first polis and build on that island, after that I would leave my comfort zone if I feel confident enough, but it is your choice.
