Welcome to the forum!

If you hadn't translated it, I'd have had to remove it. This is an english forum, so English must be used at all times. Only well know phrases from other languages are normally permitted.

Next time, stick to english, we Brits have a hard enough time working out our own language ;)

I agree, sorry for french sticky

but for my defense,
it was looking strange to call for francophone people
with an english sticky.

Right, I have warned you guys. This is an English forum. I allowed the first to slip, but now I must start giving formal warnings.

If it continues, I will have to start infracting.

Some people may have problems, we English normally do not. I accept that "Brits" may have especially if it is not their Mother Tongue, i.e. if they are Scots, Welsh or Irish, each of whom has their own.

Nationalistic? Maybe, but I am proud of my own country (England) and although I live overseas I still object to the sweeping terminology of "British", especially when it is used, as it so often is, in a derogatory and all-encompassing sense.

You wish to call yourself a "Brit"? That is your own personal choice.

Coming from Irish/Scotish descent, I'd say calling myself a "Brit" is quite appropriate.

This is off topic, though to be honest, I don't really follow as to what the original topic was.
