They say there is nothing sweeter than the taste of victory and it's true, everyone want's to win something and sometimes, it's a part of life, it's what drives us all forward. However, when someone wins, it means someone loses and there is power in both. From victories we fill ourselves with power but from defeats - with knowledge. Embracing both with grace is what separates casual warriors and truly great ones.
So with all that said, it's time to see who our TOP 3 of the server are.

Oh Angels, dear Angels. It was always meant for you to climb only as high as 3rd place and you achieved it. The only thing that is missing is a lvl 10 world wonder. That gotta hurt a little. Yeah, you got 3 at 9, but....
Through out the server Angels pretty much stayed out of the main fight for the win for various reasons, and not that they didn't try. Already mentioned "Shrimps" alliance was their prime target since from the very beginning they established a NAP with True Fear. But unfortunately their experience, coordination, gold amount or maybe something else stayed in their way and in the end they couldn't crack them and establish a front against Blitz. They retreated to O34 to build their core for WWs, but in late spring and summer they got overwhelmed by a Blitz + Shrimps OPs and lost quite a few cities in key spots + a good player abandoned them. On top of that it seems that the internal struggles they had were quite serious.
One would think, how did they manage to hold it together and not collapse. I think the answer is their position, nobody wanted to go that deep in their territory, it was just too vast to take it.
If we take a look of the map above it's very clear why Angels struggled with the competition. Their WW placement was heavily towards the WEST side of their circle and that means, most of the resources needed a long time to travel. Even worse, one of their wonders was even outside and right at the edge of O34. The ideal spot would of been inside the RED circle. But i guess it was too dangerous for them to build there because of the close threat of Blitz.
Congratulations to Angels for completing the server and earning one artifact level for all of the 45 players. Better luck next time in future servers !

A legacy team from all legacy teams with Jameslongst steering the wheel entered the world strongly. The above war scores show it. As mentioned in part 1 they absolutely demolished Endurance to become sole rulers in O45, and later Bandits to push their way into O55 and establish a front with Blitz. They did manage to get in a little, but overall O55 and center of the map became a somewhat stalemate with little movement. So with NAP with Angels and dead front with Blitz, their only expansion was West to found cities for their WWs or South pursuing what's left of Endurance. How did they fare with that and their WW building?
This looks much better than Angels. 4 our of 7 wonders are pretty close to the ideal middle spot with 3 further west. Also having so many cities outside the circle in O55 was not ideal for their resource travel times, so i would say their expansion plans in O55 were not the best and/or efficient plan.
But arguably the most important part is not resources themselves but favor generation. Heracles changes not long before WWs hit them the hardest as they had a few very good players on that front ready to pump out favor and cut WW recruitment time. Not being able to get unlimited favor meant all their system they were setting up was for nothing. I think in the end this was the deciding factor for them falling short and finishing 2nd. But even that, not getting even a single WW to level 10 is surprising. Leaves a lot of questions to be answered.
Congratulations True Fear for being the biggest competition to Blitz and maybe next time you will learn from mistakes, adapt and win.

And so we finally arrive to the winning alliance. It feels like it was always meant to be, for almost all the server they were ahead of their competition in both points and city count. On top of that, their diplomacy game was unparalleled, see below:
Somehow Blitz managed to root out the best players from basically all the relevant alliance outside the big 3. That is massive, if you are able to choose best players, have bigger pool, it means your chances at winning grow significantly.
Finally, if we look at the WW core, there are no questions, Blitz has the best circle of any alliance. Practically all 7 wonders are right in the middle where they need to be and all surrounding rock islands filled also. This meant their travel times for resources were significantly better than other two above. I believe this played a large part in victory.

Congratulation Blitz for bagging in the win, but just how close it was judging by the stats. I think it's time to look at the world map one last time, what you say?
As we can see from the TOP 3 alliance, Blitz occupies 50% of the total points. And by the way Angels are not so far from True Fear. Here we can clearly see the superiority of Blitz by 1st - merging Shrimps into it and 2nd - carving a larger piece of O55 thus winning a war against True Fear in that front.
Also if we look at the TOP 45 players it becomes even more clearer why Blitz won, they just had overwhelming lead in both TOP player and TOP fighter rank.
As we can see Blitz was ahead of competition in all 9 months except July, but even then they were ahead cause of player rotations to sister alliance. Last month shows the real pictures where all the TOP players from sister alliances were packed into the main 45.
As for the awards, its pretty one sided, but there are some special ones, so here we go:

Blitz is the first revolt team after WW rework to bag in all 7 wonders and the crown !
