Hey everyone! I had a lil idea that might be fun for us to do.
I call them Micro Poems. What you do is take a light, fun, or humorous topic and write a 1-2 stanza poem about it. Rhyme generally helps, but isn't needed if you have flow. I often do these when I'm bored. I'll just make em up in my head. Here's an example:
Oh spaghetti how I love you,
With your long thin strands,
Slurping you up to eat,
Or twirling you, fork in hand
Covered in red,
Layered in meat,
Oh spaghetti how I love you,
My favorite Italian treat
