Pnp MoRC STILL merging their way thru Athens , lol!

Yeah they just can't help themselves.....

SPARTAN 300 (still luving those caps champs, be LOUD & PROUD HOKAY!....) will 'officially' merge into MoRC soon (2,3 months tops is my guess), in fact they reached agreement to do so after MoRC built the 4 Wonders required to win title 'Victor of Athens" and the rest of the server didn't lie down and die.

Reasons being?

MoRC's reasoning: 2 factors, namely as history has proven, MoRC is an alliance who only know how to merge their way to any type of victory, MoRC..... The Multi-alliancerefugeeconvention original Recruitment Champions (don't call us a MRA, our players is good they is!) merged the entire Northern Hemisphere to get started (lets never forget good ole MoRC1, MoRC2, MoRC3 to get around the 200 alliance cap limit back in the day....and secondly, they can't become 'Masters of Athens' in their own right, so unless they continue to Merge with anyone and everyone who will merge with them to do so, it wont be happening. After all, it doesn't matter how you get your awards, all that matters, is that you get em right?

SPARTAN'S THIS IS SPARTA IMA SPARTAN HEAR ME ROAR BWAHAHAHAHA's reasoning: At a risk of repeating myself," it doesn't matter how you get your awards, all that matters, is that you get em." And after all, they've done a lot of shafting in this server, more than any single insignificant alliance could have been asked to shaft, so why let it be all for nothing?

It's all good, within the rules, and like it or not, it is a strategy, a strategy only those incapable of fighting their way to realise their goals utilise, but a strategy none the less.

It does however beckon a few questions:

1/WHY BOTHER? LoL, i mean what possible satisfaction could one possibly get from merging their way to an award? Makes it sorta pointless doesn't it? Or maybe I'm ole fashioned, i mean sheesh, noone joins a wargame to fight fairly right? Why enter just one boxer in the ring when you can keep sending other suckers in to fight the original foe, Just merge and win,merge merge merge, win win win! Wooooooooohooooooooo ....err, yeah good luck with that i guess, each to their own.

2/Currently, MoRC have 186 'members' whatever, and 'LOOKIE@ ME IMA SPARTAN RARRRRRR' have 161 members. Combined, that's 347 in total. Let's do some maths, 3 months, MRA's have high turnover so say each lose 40 members by 3 months time, hmm 1 sec add that carry this take away the 1 divide by..approximate up to say 270 members.
SOoooooo..... when the merge occurs (and exact time of that will be after they've colonised more WW islands together and feel confident enough of rebuilding the TOMB WW quickly, and finally accept they'll have to rebuild another Temple rather than try conquer the 20th city back........), where was I, oh yeah, so question #2, what's going to happen the excess players above the 200 cap when they do merge? Or those poor lil guys trying their lil hearts out just gonna get shafted by their own leadership at the end when there's no room for em in the final MoRC 200?

Now that's harsh, but, wait for it......."After all, it doesn't matter how you get your awards, all that matters, is that you get em right?" And it's just a game, few guys get shafted ain't no big deal is it? Just a game guys, learn from it for the next time......

3/All the ex-BoB that joined 'SPARTAN OOOOOOOHHHH BEAT MUH MANLY PAWS ON MUH MANLY CHEST IMA SPARTAAAAAAN' & the numerous smaller alliances now allied with them (yeah I'm talking to you Glorius et al, ), did they do so in the full knowledge that in fact, they were joining MoRC indirectly? Or just realising now they're getting shafted?

4/Have Glorius and the other allies all been promised seats on the winning team to, or just their leaders maybe? OMG don't say it's so...the alliance cap IS still 200 yeah? oh no & deary me, there's more shafting going on here than at Stalin's surprise birthday parties......

To quote one of the truly wierd yet wonderful personalities of the server, a blast from the past for you all.......

"I am ashamed, that you all are not ashamed, in all of this shamefulness of this shameful saga"

Anyways, thank you Athens, the server that just keeps giving and giving, you rock!

how do you explain merging 13 colonies with other 39 states (plus the DC) forming USA? no such economic, military, scientific and technological domination we'd ever have in the world if it never came to that. you mad bro? or maybe you'd like a situation like in europe where you have 50 countries each having their own history, language (more or less), currency (if not in eurozone), government and president?

And why are you frustrated? Because our merges were successful and yours with the Bellerophon Guard (i think it was them) only slowed you down? Or maybe because Telemonian joined us and you're scared now? Or maybe because we have 10 players in the top 30 fighters ranking and you only have one (yourself)? Or maybe because we took over a city from S300 on one of your wonder islands?

This is a virtual Wargame, people join it to play war. It's not real life dude, popping your history of merging your way thru grepo Athens Server aint gonna get you a diplomatic position in an embassy somewhere, nor a nobel peace price.

Comparing grepo to USA and Europe.....lol 1 sec, sheesh 5 times my lappy gonna blow , aw man.

I'm pretty sure, well I'll go out on a limb, extremely sure there was a lil thing called the American Civil War that formed the US of A.

I won't even go there with Europe being one nation, it nearly happened 70 years ago which according to your reasoning, would be a more beneficial state than it is now. Scary scary comments dude.

This is a virtual war game, with alliance caps, and reasons for those caps. To make it fun and challenging, well i think that woulda been the intent of the developers when they put the caps in. Guess they underestimated the extents some will go to, to win.

Thanks for your response, like I said merging to win is a strategy that's within the rules, no need trying justify it, just good to know you're aware, deep down, that is how the Victor of Athens was obtained, and good to know, that even after winning that title, if you ever do win the Masters Of Athens title as well, it will be once again because you merged your way to that as well.

And i dunno ......I'm jealous? We were approached by an Alliance or 3 in relation to merging before WW started, and we chose not to.

We chose not to, because for SunTzu, there would have been no satisfaction in winning if it was mainly due to a merge. And we knew we had no chance of winning the WW unless we did merge, but it wasn't, and still isn't, that important to us buddy.

We came here to play a wargame, have some fun and do our best with what players we had developed over the course of the server. For the vast majority of us this is our first server, myself included in that, and we've had a fantastic ride.

At least the server is going out with a bang, which is why i awoke from my inactive spell, cos during WW it just bored me to almost ghost.

Everyone has their reasons to play, and to play how they play.

Ours was to bond and grow as a team, regardless the end results, yours, obviously, was and still is to merge your way to awards.

So congrates, whatever gets your juices flowing. I just can't comprehend what possible satisfaction you get from that, but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what I understand or think.

But now that your antics have reinvigorated my enthusiasm back for the game, it's all good

Thought the Spartans were your allies, now you're poaching from them? Or does it not really matter which banner any player in either MoRC or the Spartans flys? It's all the same thing really isn't it. Damn that alliance cap, maybe if you just ask grepo to increase it to 380 so you all fit in? Make it 700 so you can include all your hidden lil friends.

Ugh Gumby is frustrated. First he said that I don't deserve to win because how I possibly could contribute to anything when I switched alliances 10 times, now he says that the only reason MORC won is by pacting/merging with other alliances. Of course how such a great player like Gumby, with his perfect strategy, with ideal leadership, with so many sleepless nights spending playing grepo could loose this game? According to him some of us should be in rimville and his majesty would have delivered it himself if some bumps weren't on his way.
Now regarding pacts/merges I remember when NN was formed you were the one who was saying that it is the optimal strategy to defeat bully, changed your mind again, this time it is your opponents strategy, of course it is not right. Unlike other alliances SunTzu had pacts with almost everyone through Athens, so don't even start this topic.
You mentioned BP, did you ever attack someone properly, can't recall really, maybe you can remind me. The way you made BP asking your alliance mates to support all your frontline cities under the threat if they don't you will boot them, that how you got your BP because of your alliance. And after that you are saying that we are such a good team growing through this server, what a bunch of s*** . You don't know what the great team is!
