I have a doubt about how the game works, can someone help me here?
Let's say i'm conquering a city. Old conquer system, but the question is good for revolt too. That city is using all it's troops and boats to support another city. It's owner stopped playing and let the troops supporting the other city while i conquered.
My doubt is this: what happens to the conquered city's troops after i conquer the city? Do they dissapear? Or do they survive and belong now to the conquered city's new owner?
Thanks all!

They dissapear. You must start from scratch. It sucks :(

Thanks...
I've got this doubt since one time i conquered a city and when i entered it for the first time there were a few units i had never seen before and didn't belong to me before i conquered the city. That i'm sure. But it was a long time ago and i never thought any more about it until now...

the only exception there might be is fireships, if there were still fireships IN the city when your CS landed then those FS will belong to you once you conquer the city (if i remember correctly)

That's for revolt system, i presume. And still it seems weird, the lightships would try to defend the city from the CS attack, right? Or any other troop or ship guarding the city.
The only chance i can see is if the troops/ships were outside the city when it changed hands...

If it was a conquest system and somebody cast a patroness or divine sign on the city while you had it in siege, then the troops would belong to the new city. Since the city is technically yours while in a siege, the troops cast are as if the city was yours.

for either system. i was talking about fireships, not light ships ;) fireships wont attack the CS so if your city is defended with FS they will kill the naval escort and then support the siege! other troops outside the city when it is conquered tend to just disappear into the ether.
