Wish List New way to end the game

Proposal: Clearly as we all know, the majority of us hate WW. And yes several alternatives have been suggested but they often seem confusing and complicated. Well this idea is simple, easy to get used to, and just better IMO. basically it would be the era of destruction.


Have you Checked the DNS and PSI lists in the Archives? Is this idea similar to one that has been previously suggested?
a little bit, and there are similar things but I believe mine stands out


Reason: the current system is just dumb and disappointing and we need some good change here.


Details: basically you would meet the same requirements that you do to get to the WW to get the destruction era. and nothing would change except instead of building WW you destroy your enemies cities. The way you destroy an enemy city is generally the same way you conquer a city, except instead of a colony ship, you have a different ship ( resource cost and pop. is not for my deciding) maybe call it the destructioniator :p and basically instead of sending a colony ship you would send the destructioniator and if it landed instead of gaining control of the city you would destroy it. This would also entail that no more conquers could happen, you lose a city you lose a city. This would go on until one alliance was left and they would be the winners.

Summary: basically to fix the broken end game system to promote more fighting and actually let people who deserve it to win the world not simmers.

what about revolt worlds? And would you have to wait 8 hours of siege for it to be destroyed?

so worlds will be dragged for a longer period right?
Since you have to destroy other's cities.
Also is their a way to defeat the destructioniator?

would you have to researched a specific item in the academy before your able to build destructioniator ?

you should be able to send more than one of those ship at once so that it wont make the destruction part of the world boring and drawn out

yes, there would be a siege time. yes druvi the worlds will be longer, and you can destroy it just as easily as a colony ship. Yes you would have to research this. your revolt option wouldn't be available and you could no longer build a colony ship.... kind of shot a lot of questions at once :p

Really don't like the name of the ship yuck :p Personally not for this idea like the idea of blowing up enemy cities but its not going to stop simming and turtling a whole alliance could turtle and the world could last years my problem with it.

I like it although I would suggest that you just get to use the colony ship instead of inventing a new ship. I would propose that you would have to research another tech (Raze) in the academy with similar costs to the conquest/revolt research. Then once you enter the end game when you attack with a colony ship you would have the option to raze the city or attack normally, so you would be allowed to conquer cities still allowing people to come back into the game whilst also enabling the destruction of the opposition.

Razing would still be used in preference to conquering once the end game started because you would presumably not need a slot to destroy a city whereas you would need one to take one. As we all know towards the end of the game it gets stupidly hard to get more slots

I like that ^ but problem I have with the colony ship is, I don't think it would be able to destroy a city. I Imagine the destroianator having all sorts of weapons on it as to were the colony ship is to pretty much transports all of your citizens with there stuff to your new city

My answer will be as it's always been. No lets just get rid of WW or at least down play their purpose. There should be no end game to a world and we should just put up our dukes and do this old school till we all die of boredom.
