No cancel option

I made an attack on a ghost , meanwhile the city was conquered. I didn't get the option to cancel, the attack followed I killed a soldier and keeping the protection I'm still under. This is normal? Or perhaps the new normal?

The dropping of protection occurs at attack send, when you select to do so and issue the attack.

Attacking a ghost with anything other than a CS does not drop protection, meaning that because you didn’t spark the drop upon attack issue, you didn’t drop. The travel time of the unit and hitting after the ghost flipped is irrelevant.

That was as usual, what I missed was a message giving the option to cancel the attack. I remember something like this in previous worlds.
I don't think it's bad like that, it even makes more sense, I just wanted to understand how it works.

Revolt or conquest world? I think you only get that message in revolt worlds.
