No gold world

I mean everytime I come back to grepo and check forums there will defo be no gold stuff discussions.

I’m f2p myself but by gold trading always have like 10-20k gold any server I join and that’s more than enough for proper playing, like advisors, golding some stuff for sniping, events or something like that. Ofc you won’t compete with dudes who literally spam gold and plus some stay IG for whole days, but I have absolutely no problem with that, cuz they are the ones making this game still alive. Inno isn’t charity organization, unless they hit whatever their min targeted income is they won’t keep this game alive just cuz we like it. And don’t forget it’s not 1 v 1 game, we all play in teams and good team play can always make it way much easier and enjoyable.

PS: you can defo make 10k gold a server with ease. For example new world which started 2 days ago I have already earned 2.5k gold and I haven’t even got 2nd city in other ocean. Personally I preferred old gold trading system, since it required way much less effort but still it’s very possible to earn good amount of gold by some effort.

Only topic about which we should keep complaining is playerbase and maybe there is solution to increase it somehow, so lets switch topic I guess lol.

if the entry was 5-10$ i dont know how many players would be willing to join the world in the first place, and for that system to be profitable for Inno to spin up 1 server to run that world it would need like 3-8k players to pay to play to come somewhere close to what top spenders these days spend for 1 single world...
this server is literally on last 1k players.. most new worlds get 400-600...

Ans: We did surveys and then the math and unfortunately, it would not be a feasible option, the interest would not be high enough to be running a server profitably.

I often question the intentions of the developers of this game, is enormous lack of prudence in this aspect.

Certainly, the game would be more balanced if the gold exchange rate were adjusted, but what lies behind InnoGames’ reluctance to change this is a mystery as vast as the ocean in the shape of a star, i question.

I just started this rev world, until now I sold resources for 31 gold (in 7 separate trade).. since the market is always full, I think what Hyke was saying like "everyone can make 15-20k gold in the first two weeks is a bs.. you maybe can when you already have plenty gold to colonize in other oceans, maybe.. still it's all about spend money on gold to get advantage to earn more gold so more advantage, this is how I see I don't think I can make here 1000s of gold

And it's a main problem, "u can always use money", then we are not playing a game anymore

You’d know about how much the top golders spend! I seen you in the US forum. What was it that your Russian friend spent!? Thing is now she doesn’t just gold she funds the alliance with pay app. Eventually the game will only be Golders. Inno won’t care for f2p if they don’t contribute to profits. It’s a business…

Point one. There is no such thing as "gold abuse." If the game allows unlimited gold use then you are getting your donkey handed to you because your opponent is using one of the strengths of the game better than you.

This goes for HERO abuse, RANGE abuse, SPAM abuse. They do not exist. Any thing the game will allow you to physically do is not abuse just because you do not like it. GOD did not die and cede you the throne of virtue/vice determination.

There is no abuse, only use.

The current problem with grepolis is rooted in the fact that the original developers who created an amazing game are gone now.
These were computer gaming nerds who ate slept and breathed their labor of love. This game.

They have been replaced with diversity hire time card punchers, too focused on their careers, and bean counters too focused on the earnings this quarter.

The bean counters were always there trying to push stupid ideas, but you always had the computer nerds that built the game to push back against the stupidity. Now you have they them that dont even play the game, and they are too busy with their social media to do battle on your behalf.

Now their business model focuses on the WHALE and they do not give a flying *&%^%^ what you think.

A WHALE is a player that might drop a thousand bucks on a server in one day and will likely spend enough to fund the whole server themselves.

You might be a DOLPHIN $ 20.00 to $100.00 a month.
Or
A MINNOW $00.00 to $20.00 aa server.

But you are not a WHALE so they dont care if you stay or go.

Where they are wrong:
They being hired not for their excellence but instead for box checking do not possess the intellect of the computer geeks before them so they have yet to figure out why their servers are turning to ghost towns and why even most of the whales have left.

Its simple. It is no fun to WHALE if you have no one to WHALE over.

Servers that were measured in the tens of thousands of population are now measured in hundreds.

The WHALES themselves are too stupid to realize that the more they complain to shift the game in favor of gold and away from skill or other strengths, the more people will leave. The end result being even the WHALES leave because the easy button just got too easy, and thers no one around to watch them mash that gold button.

Grepo does not need a no gold or even limited gold server. The game simply needs to return to a more balanced state like it was 7 years ago.
This was before mods started telling you how you can and cant attack. (protecting their WHALES)
This was before the siren. (hiding the fact they wont remove the BOTS used by the WHALES)
This was before the coming hero nerf that will in my opinion be the final tipping point turning this game to unredeemable garbage.

This wont be fixed. They will run this game into the ground and then claim "nothing could be done to prevent it."

Because to fix it they would have to fire all those diversity hires which would likely bury INO in lawsuits.
And then they'd have to rehire the original team to fix it. admitting they were wrong to replace them with cheaper labor.
Yeahh I just dont see the board or CEO admitting they were wrong any time soon.
Game companies today will run their company into the ground before admitting they are wrong.

Vote with your feet and your money. Let them die and spend your money on an indie game co that gets it.

Ruined JFL by video chats then spent thousands of dollars and out golded mako who’s one of US top Golders, Charlie dropped US then hydna removed him and about 10 others for no reason! But actually gave them notice they were getting removed lmfao! I suspect hydna was protecting Belle due to the history with JFL and didn’t want them chasing her off! Also crazy when Belle came from RU to US hydna suddenly left EN to mod US. It’s total corruption. Even Charlie is a victim this time. But yeah that’s just coincidence I’m sure if they catch an influencer with over 100k subscribers and who makes probably $10 per sub per month = 12 million a year) cheating they’ll treat her just the same and ban her.. pfft like ****. Because he read it and acted on it, from what i was told he joined DE server to play there, and im not about to let Hydna/Silver ban my US account for sharing my opinion or giving advice.
As for Belle/Sparrow, she stopped doing OF and stopped playing Grepolis, so there is no need to talk about her.
I played en124 which was the first world where fair play/spam bans were being handed out and Charlie was there, so ive seen him push entire ally into perma vm/ghosting due to attacks so yeah they changed the rules to protect their cashflow moving forward... every ban after that change, they gave him was because he violated game rules and terms of service, if you do that and get banned its not corruption its just what you should expect to happen. Do i agree how EN handles Fair Play and spam bans? no.. obviously not because its too vague and shady which enables them to hand them out like candy whenever they want, unlike DE market where CM clearly outlined what is allowed and what isnt, so if you break it, you get warned or banned.
No real bank will issue a chargeback/refund for a game you played and spent money on for months and months or a long time ago pretending someone used your credit card on a game and ur noticing it months later...
As far as i remember Charlie did one or multiple chargebacks during his EN market gameplay and on one particular world he was streaming Grepolis on twitch or some platform like that and playing another game.. which is fine, but when you mass mail an entire world and you link your stream and "advertize" other games that gives Inno the grounds to permanently and globally remove you from their game no matter what market you try to play on.. same as chargeback.. So saying he did not do anything or is innocent means you arent familiar with game rules and its terms of service.. so he is guilty on 2 counts of permanent global ban for all markets/servers where CMs want to enforce it... just because Hydna acted on it doesnt mean she is corrupt, it means that she has a valid excuse to remove him while he plays on already known device and username. That does not mean that other markets will follow suit and do the same.
Also... for anyone hoping for a no gold world, im here to kill your hopes and dreams... or just remind you again.. that Inno did some kind of research whether it would be good or profitable for them to experiment with this and devs confirmed on Grepolis discord Livestream/chat that they wont be doing any kind of in game testing for no gold/limited gold usage/pay to enter worlds.
