Rejected Non Purifiable Attack

Suggestion:
To make sure farming attack is not purifiable.

Implement:

Athena - City Protection:
In addition to protecting city , All out-going attacks cannot be purified using artemis spell.

Abuse prevention:
Only effects farming attack - not for out going colony ship.

1. How would the game define a farming attack from a clearing attack?

1. All attacks - clearing/farming etc - cannot be purified if originated from the city which is protected.

2. Even without my suggestion - CS is always detectable

Instead of casting protection on the city
Be able to cast it on the attack

The negative of this would be you then could not cast heroic power, favorable wind , aim of the huntress, etc on the attack
You sacrifice power for protection

CP only cost 130 favor so its way to cheap to protect all attacks from a city for 12 hours plus protect the city

Yes, This is better than my suggestion .

If i think about it now - my suggestion has an overuse.
If an entire alliance CP all cities of a player - basically none of his attacks will become purifiable.

So yeah - a spell to say - you cant purify me is great (but i would still say it shouldnt be used for CS)

Spells will be useless if this gets implemented so I'm against it. There are offensive and defensive spells so its already balanced.

I disagree, I don't see the spells as being balanced:

*the attackers can use 1 spell on an attack but defenders can cast multiple times. Having an attack sea stormed 12 times is excessive and not my definition of balance.

* since purification came in, I see much smaller naval escorts and CS being easier to snipe.

*the defenders spells are more damaging than the attackers eg an attacker can use 250 fav to add 10% to navy or use 200 favor to add 10% to land units, the defender can spend 140 favor and make land and navy fight 10% less power.

I think it would be fairer to limit the amount of attacks that can be hit with neg spells, the trade off for this is the attacker can't add positive spells to the attack so it still favors the defender but doesn't totally screw up the attack.

Having the ability to CP attacks would help sort this. It's a good idea imo and I'd like to see it introduced. However I think 130 is too cheap, think it should cost more.

Other suggestions to stop purification from being so over powered, make it cost more, or introduce a new hero who when sent with attacks has an 22%-60% chance of deflecting spells from the defender being placed on them.

Note: I understand the theory of sending fake attacks/multiple CS to burn the defenders favor, but it doesn't really work in practice. With favor tokens from events and favor farming, the defender has a massive advantage. They can sit and favor farm their allies while waiting for attacks to show up and keep hitting CS attack until all the escort has gone.

I also understand that sitting and constantly clicking on the spell button can help stop defender landing attack on spell after purification, however chances are on conquest attempts the attacker is sending attacks/support so can't sit and constantly click. Also doing that it tedious and I'd prefer not to have to do it so often.

People will not be able to do that soon. The favor packages will run out. You just have to wait.

Even once the tokens are gone, people can favour farm to get extra favour. A few DE on friendly islands, means people can get favour for what ever god they need quickly.

As I have said in other threads purification is the most blatantly OP spell in the game, it punishes you for attacking with 0 counter-play which is never good. As to the statement about favor packages running out, 1. they don't as events are almost incessant now and 2nd as aegir said little bit of favor farming and you can do it again.

With Purification in play its not even worth covering the attacks with spells anymore lol... OK OK I'm exaggerating a little bit here but hey not far from truth. I mean really there is no defense against it at all. It can't be more imbalanced than this! There has to be a counter spell that would stop attacks from being purified or if not a spell some other way... the hero suggestion is not that bad all in all...

Artemis's spells are about as well thought out as everything else InnoGames does

Illusion Attack is about pointless also

I occasionally have fun with illusion attack.

Send it off to people (enemies I get on with and/or team mates) so they think I'm attacking and change city name just as attack hits to "April fools". I'm puerile so it amuses me briefly. However that is the only use for it really and can only do that once a yr. So I agree it's pretty pointless

I dont mind getting Raged or Stormed once per attack
Kind of expect it

It is when I get Raged or Stormed 3+ times in less than 5 minutes
and catapults seem particular vulnerable to Zeus's Rage

Yeah I agree with others here, purification must be somehow changed, limit the purifications per attack or overall spells used per attack, so we dont have CSs sea stormed and raged multiple times!!! :) We dont even have any counter spells to stop it!!

Yes needs to change, every other negative spell can only be cast every XXX hours, why is this one different and how is it fair that ALL catapults can get taken out in and attack when raged twice? isn't it supposed to be a PERCENTAGE!!!! This is the dumbest most illogical game play setting in grepolis
