Nysa: Separating The Noobs From The Pros
| Beginner's Protection will be over in a few hours, which will separate the noobs from the pros or at least those that cared to read the wiki. You all know what I'm talking about. Players attacking with swordsmen and archers, and defending with slingers. And my favorite one, attacks without Light Ship escorts, but I doubt we will see any of these in the next few days out of BP as these noobs are mostly investing resources building their pretty city or better yet have already been rimmed. However thanks to these players we are able to grow faster, advance in the game and rankings without much challenge. I had a chat with kronnoss, a previous speed 3 world player, and he told me that "the faster everything means the faster you can rebuild and fight more and I do enjoy that part of the game, being sneaky and getting those great hits we all love!" This is all true but a speed 3 world can be a double-edged word. In the same way that you can be sneaky many other can do the same and this being an international game you are never safe from attacks. Yeah sure you can set up the attack alarm on your phone, but if you enjoy sleep as much as I do, you would much rather loose a city than a few hours of sleep. All in all, as kronnoss stated "having a team around you that will support and play along side in a similar style, this makes it fun and makes you want to survive." Good luck and happy hunting! |
Is your alliance a pre-made? Or did you and the other founder join this world and just started recruiting others? Also tell us a bit about how the name came into being?
This alliance was started in Hermonassa by InglriousB. I came over from there and started to recruit some members. I also invited lots from Hermonassa to add experience to our alliance. It was a small alliance there for a long time but then it's allies who were number 1 suffered from poor leadership and inactiveness. The name is from there is no tolerance for inactiveness.
Tell us a bit about your alliance and your experience/leadership experience e.t.c
I don’t want to give away to much about our alliance in case our enemies read this. All are leaders have more than 3 years experience and have all lead alliances before. Leaders will be voted on by the rest of the alliance every few months so only a few core people will be in charge for a long time.
Do you think your alliance will play for a long time in this world?
I think we will go on for a long time in this world. We have started off great and i know we should stay active because we have people from other worlds.
Which alliances do you see as a threat?
We are more than strong enough to take on any alliance. It would only be if they gang up on us that we would struggle but we should have good allies.
Lastly, which alliance would you like to fight in the near future?
Fighters[now ANONYMOUS] are an MRA and should be easy to take down. Zero Tolerance III looks like they are trying to rip off our name so I would like to kill them.

The name was just one of those 'cool sounding' random play on words ideas that comes to you sometime around 3 a.m. when you've been online way longer than is good for your health and in desperate need of some sleep. By sheer coincidence, there is a metal band with that name (which helped when designing the logo so THANK YOU to the world of Metal Music!).

We have drawn together a team with so much experience I shudder to think of the combined total playing hours and we aren't even up to the cap size yet! All are bloodthirsty, power hungry death dealers of the highest order. Can't wait to get into the action!

Well I was just having a mess about with the lukjackm is the greatest name. I changed it to Painful Reality, cuz i liked how it sounded from a guy on Skype, our name has not been finalized, so it may change.

Our alliance was organized during the 48 hours prior to the world opening. I suppose that makes it more of a "late-made." As it turned out there were quite a few teammates in Mochlios who were interested in playing in Nysa and we all dropped in O44 together. Added in a few old friends who randomly decided to drop into Nysa and here we are!
Why Pandalism? Why would you not post a picture of Rainbow-Fire Breathing Pandas looking to vandalize an enemy city on your alliance profile pic! It's humorous, and as best I can tell completely original which isn't always easy to do seeing as we're on Server 76. We may yet settle on a different name and coat of arms.

I've been playing this game about 3.5 years and been a founder/leader of some very successful alliances in worlds Zeta (Four-Knuckle Philosophy), Lambda (Semper Fidelis, Knights of Freedom), Naxos (Organized Konfuzion) and Paros (Black Legion). Both the Naxos and Paros alliances led the server for several months in important statistical categories. I understand the pace of revolt worlds, how to run an alliance well and make it fun, and I've had the opportunity to learn a lot from some brilliant alliance leaders I've served under. While I cannot take credit for everything those great alliances did, I am happy to have played my part in their success and I remember how we did it.
Do you think your alliance will play for a long time in this world?
This is a hard question to answer on day one of the server. Building an alliance is 40% luck and real life will often get in the way of even the best laid plans. As I've done before, I am committed to building a team which can endure through the entire server and into other worlds.
Which alliances do you see as a threat?

I want to fight a disorganized alliance with big cities and few troops. Fingers crossed that Christmas will come early!

This alliance is a new alliance. It is made right here with a couple players that i have played with before. I just posted a couple days before the server opened that i wanted to make an alliance here.

I founded the alliance. As for who leads it I have a thread with all the council positions listed. When we grow enough to do it we will hold a vote to see who gets what job. In the mean time players are to apply for the job they would like to have, and tell why they should have it. So in the end the alliance will run itself.

My alliance name came from William Shakespeare's phrase "Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war. In this phrase the Dogs of war was referring to soldiers, and the word havoc was the military order to loot and pillage.

I have been playing military strategy games since 2005. I started Grepolis on 2-25-2010 in world alpha. I got a feel for the game real quick, and then went to gamma. There i lead a rim alliance called Blue and Maze legion. The majority of my alliance joined Carpe Juglam in a merger, and I went to Theta. There I decided I needed to learn more about the game before leading, and joined Just For Laughs. A group of 30 players in a server with 250 cap the just dominated for a very long time. It was there i learnt most of my tricks that i share with the team i play with to give them an advantage. After here I bounced from server to server for a while just learning as much as I could from the best players on the server. I started a few alliances during this time, and fought several wars. I learnt how to organize small, and large groups to work as 1 unit. After I figured this out it became very easy to lead a small alliance to the top.

As for where i see my alliance in a month all i can say now is in ocean 45.

I don't see any alliance as a threat. Beginners protection hasn't ended yet. After it does then I will decide that based on what they do.
