Occasionally upon release of a reservation (as opposed to deletion) the symbol (white check mark) seems to take up permanent residence. Going through the deletion process again has no effect, and when another player from the alliance reserves the city, though the reservation is shown correctly on the info screen for the city, and listed in the tool correctly, the icon does not change to gold. I have a feeling this is not-a-bug, but am at a loss as to proper procedure, and have not been able to find a reference to it by searching the forum.
