First, there was the NAP. Which bound them together. Unified them in their quest. Eventually, though, such superficial bondings were bound to break.

After evaluating the ocean situation, we have decided that a NAP with Insanity no longer makes a lot of sense for us - therefore we are terminating the agreement. We have no intention to light you up red, but then again, anything that isn't Green or Blue is in our crosshairs.
As we had discussed, I will not remove the pact for 24 hours. Consider this the start of that 24 hour period.

Ok so let me get this right..after honoring our NAP agreement with you especially when we had been getting pressured to offer TGA support but declined, they are now merging into you and you have dropped all relations with us?

I just think it's time we start seeing other alliances. I mean we both knew this relationship was a bit of a fling; it was fun while it lasted, but eventually it had to end. All's fair in love and war.

It's not you, it's us. You're a great alliance and I know you'll go really far. We just really wanted to start seeing other alliances. I mean, you never call, you never send presents, you forgot our weekly pact anniversary and you never crash unescorted transports into our biremes anymore...
You'll always be special to us. You were our first pact in Upsilon.

Our sadness was intense. Events had evolved as they must, but could nothing stem the tide of tears? Perhaps a visit? One more night would give the satisfaction needed....
But they had erected such a barrier from intimacy that nothing could break it.
(Side note: Who builds a level 22 wall at this point in the game? I mean really?)
But this was not enough, alas! A pair of star-cross'd players, now bound now only by island, still had feelings for each other...
