Well, shame on me sort of.
I normally send my lads to a city that is about 3 hours away to attack it when I go to bed.
Thus they get back when I wake.
However... last night I sent them as support instead of an attack!
D'uh.

But it was a 175 point city, so if these 95 slingers were part of a farming run on that city, I should still get a report saying my support in the city of X was attacked by XX shouldn't I ?

The wall shows all the troops that die at a place you support. So my troops had a part in killing all of those troops but the bp was split between all those that supported as well.
