Discussion Revolt, Conquer or Colonize?

Hey,

I've just got into the mood for a bit of island expansion. I realised i nearly always Colonize or Revolt. I prefer colonization mostly because it gives no worries from being attacked. Sure it's slow and not very cost effective, but i prefer it than building up a huuuuuge army.

I'm trying to get a feel of what would be best.

What are your preferences and why?

Colonization. It is the best. I am playing in Alpha so you see I am very comfortable with colonization. Another reason is that I can send the CS altogether. I do not have to wait for the attack to land and then the CS to attack.

Conquest. You can get nice cities from the get go, and you can kill a sneaky colony ship with your ls if it lands in your harbor

I just look at them funny and they leave. No warrant necessary
