What happens if you send mythical units (cerberus in my case) along with the CS? Will the CS bounce ?

If you win the attack then the God of that city becomes the God of the city which the cs launched from, i.e. if you were sending Cerberus' with it then it would become Hades and the Cerberus would stay and all other god units would bounce.

Yes it is true. In the revolt world if you send the mythical units along with the CS to conquer a city under revolt if it is successful the god of the conquered city will be the same as god of the city that launches the CS.

this is not entire true actually (unless i've been mistaken all these years, or if it was changed without me realising :D)

any myths you send along with a CS will stay on as support should your CS land regardless of which god the besieged city worships. any further support needs to be of the same god as the besieged city, or it will bounce.

e.g.
city_a worships hera, and you want to conquer this city. you send a CS with cerberus as an escort, which lands.
your cerberus (cerberi?) will stay on as support, however the city will still be worshiping hera until the end of the siege. if you send more cerberus as support, they will bounce. you can, however, send in medusas to support the siege.

then, once the siege is finished, if any myth units remain in the city the city will worship that god (i.e. if your cerbs are still there when the siege ends the city will be worshiping hades). if myths from 2 gods are in the city when the siege ends, no god will be selected (as though there were no myths).

apologies if this has changed, but this is the way it always worked :)

Thanks for all answers. The CS landed successfully so now the siege has only ceberus there as mythical units support. I will post again when the siege ends to state exactly what happens :)

Hmm I may be being an idiot but surely you can't tell the God of the city you are conquering to send support like that or does it say in a spy report? I can't even remember. I might have been thinking about how it worked for revolt.

True that spy report doesn't tell you what God is being worshipped, but sometimes you find out in other ways - they send myth units at you; your alliance trys supporting with all types to find out what sticks, etc.

Also, I believe when you send Myths with the CS, if the CS lands the city actually 'worships' two gods at once for the duration of the siege: the god that the owner was worshipping and the god that matches the myth units you sent with your CS. You and your alliance would then be able to send support of either god type. It's been a while since I did this, but it was true in the past. I sent Medusa to acity that was previously worshipping Hades and alliance was able to send more Hades and more Medusa after my CS landed. City becomes worshipping god that matches myth that was sent with CS if siege is successful.

100% sure about that a city turn to the God Hades when you sent Cerberus with the CS (i play revolt world), i do this almost with every conquest, don't worry your cerberus will not dodge

As long as they are land units then yes.

If the city has Hades, the mythical units will stay. If the city worships another god/goddess, then the Cerberus will bounce back.

Wrong I'm afraid not to mention it has been explained multiple times, but then you are a secessionist.
