Proposal: Add capacity to the Colony Ship of up to 50 farm spaces


Have you Checked the DNS and PSI lists in the Archives? Is this idea similar to one that has been previously suggested? Checked a couple of pages, nothing similar


Reason: Colony ships are not only expensive, they cost 170 fs which is a lot when you consider that the ship has no fighting capabilities nor capacity. Whilst adding fighting capabilities WOULD be unrealistic, adding a small capacity would not. The chances are a colony ship would have had a small escort on board. It would just help out smaller players who haven't had the time nor resources to build many transports.


Details: Simple idea - add up to 50 fs in capacity to the colony ship.


Visual Aids: None needed


Balance: The actual number of farm spaces needs to be decided. 50 is probably far too much, when a slow transport only has 26 without bunks. Maybe it could be added as a research? This would balance it out nicely.


Abuse Prevention: None really, probably covered it in balance

I like the concept. Would be great if these units would then belong to the new city instead of being support from the CS city. Would allow you to instantly begin conquering farm villages as soon as conquest complete instead of having to either recruit or spell troops.

Thanks guys :) I wasn't too sure, I thought it might be a bit overpowered. I like the idea of adding those troops to the new city, that would make sense. Gives you the choice of what you want to go for first - be defensive and add DLUs or go for the farming villages first and give the city a few horses?

Maybe just 10 swords like you get from the tutorial, enough to take the 1st 3 villages. Plus not all cities will have horses researched.

Not quite sure how to properly implement this into the game. I liek the idea of adding it as a research opportunity but if doing that, that would on the one hand mean a complete readjustment of the research system and also I think it would have to bring some negative effects as well. Kinda like Breakthrough at the moment.

Surely the negative would be that it has to be researched? You don't have to completely change the academy, just add it on. Maybe after level 30? It is a pretty useful tech, as long as they balance it well.

I definately agree with this , and inno can decide the number of space for people but i still think there needs to be some people in the CS Ship
