Hi guys, if your supporting another player with one of their citys can they still attack you from another city of theirs or do you become a kind of an alliance while the support is in place.

Nope they can still attack you. Even allied players can attack allied players but in that case a dialog box opens for confirmation. In your case, that player can attack your support, if he/she wishes.
