and wasn't it something stupid which had recruitment standards which anyone would fill and they basically wanted everyone and anyone. It was bad I remember, there was a a thread about them.

Nah it wasn`t like that at all. I knew some1in that alliance at a time and one of the top alliances declared war but allowed time for players not wanting to be involved to leave. Most left and somehow my friend got leader rights. He changed the other leaders rights and then changed their profile. The new profile pic was hilarious, and if you saw it you`d remember. Pretty dumb thread I know.
