The Delphi Oracle
Column 1 Intro to TDO:
In this week’s paper we have another exciting interview! This was a difficult interview to secure with such an elusive subject! There is also an in-depth look at alliances fighting in the rims of oceans 063, 064, 073, 074, 075! Who may rise, who may fall? The intensity of the wars progress both strategically and through military force.
Column 2 Major events:
Major fighters, major power shifts. Which main alliances have gained ground this week? Who will be able to keep afloat amidst the power struggles?
One have been fighting hard on many fronts this week, GSA, Ark. Angels and Silence visibly forcing their way through. The stats report that GSA have conquered+ 41 cities, Ark. Angels +31, Silence +19 and One* +40 cities.
The current trends could all change rapidly as they often do. Forces can rise or fall so easily from a number of factors.
Rim Spreads
Looking at smaller alliances growth.
This week we will be focusing on the NE rim oceans looking at the top 5* per ocean.
A quick overview of the top 5* per ocean
063 Silence, Kush, Platypus university, Galactica, GSA
064 Cerberus, One, The renegades, Silence, Galactica
073 Army of One, Platypus University, Silence
074 Silence, Foggy Forest, Mayonaze, Galactia, Silence II
075 Arrogant Players club, Silence, Delian Legue, Ark Angels, Dragon Army
Looking at the map we can see how the smaller powers fit around the current big guns in this game, who are now assigned one colour for placement reference. Larger alliances have mostly been assigned their own colour and the smaller alliance colours apart for clarity. There is a lack of colour choice on the map system which can make colour assignment difficult. This formation was the best combination that was found. Silence & Silence II are both assigned one colour.
Ocean 64 is especially intriguing as we see many strong sized alliances battle for domination here. This will be an interesting area to watch. Generally Silence appears to be a growing strength around the northern ocean rims working their way through many oceans. How many alliances will be able to keep an even keel next week? Will any capsize? We will have to wait and see.
This week’s interviewee
This week we have a special interview with a restless and vengeful ex-military figure. Captain of the sword ground defence of Atlantis!
I hear you have been causing trouble for the support sent here?
Trouble? This is my city! I am the captain of the defence in this city! Who does this new captain think he is?! Coming into my city with his men?! It is most disrespectful.
I’m sorry to hear that, although it would be fair to say that this city is in need of live protection from enemy grasps?
No! I am perfectly capable of leading the defence here. I have my men stationed around the city, ready to take out the enemy one by one if needs be!
Ah so that is the cause of the random deaths suffered by the support units.
This is the collateral of war! The captain would have understood that when he sent his men in.
I don’t think he would have considered his men to be attacked by ghosts. You realise that by knocking stones and pillars around you are actually destroying what you are protecting?
Collateral damage, that is all it is! This is my city and I will break it down before I give it up!
Ok thank you captain this interview has been most.... interesting. If a little spooky.
Column 4 Beginner's tips:
Spells! When sending a large attack out, if you have spells available cast them. Not as important for effect but to block the victim from casting something that could weaken or expose your attack. Also make sure that LS are plentiful. Troops should never be sent out un-escorted.
Column 5 Author's note:
Sorry this was a little late.
I mean no offence to anyone, if I have caused any please contact me so I can correct it. I hope this has been an interesting and informative read. Thanx.
