Welcome all to the new and upcoming newspaper for sigma! A newspaper from the WoE stand point of things!! An exciting and creative newspaper that will give many different views of the ongoings around and even within 55. Interviews will consist of different players every week or every other week (However I decide to post this up). Interviews will be from the WoE members themselves, Allies and even some from the enemies of WoE (Depending if they wish to talk, lol)
As these interviews will consist of many questions that may or may not contain information that is crucial to the alliances I must insist that you keep it secret after reading. If there is someone you wish to hear an interview from then just message me and I will try and make it possible.

Onto Ocean News:
main.php
Ocean 55 has seen its share of battle and war with many alliances fighting for the top spot. First out on the scene was WoE and since then they have become a powerhouse within those borders. They took out many alliances that tried to unite or form "Coalitions" against them. One by one they have all fallen, As I'm sure many have noticed. In 55 two more alliances have thrown themselves into the fray and what fate awaits them is unkown but we will just have to wait and see. New alliances and pacts have been forged and have begun to work as a team like Resurrection and South East Syndicate. These two alliances work together quite well but can they trully take out the top dog of 55 where so many have failed and even themselves have thus far? Will an alliance change all that? As many times it has been said here in grepolis nothing is known for sure and for any outcome it will always be said "Time Will Tell".

Interviews:

Blackiris: - WoE
What is your favorite experience with WoE?
- My favorite i actually have to pick one lol?Id have to stay it was when we completed our first op on taking a player completly out of the game djimmo i think it was.
Who was the strongest opponent you have faced?
- Ive yet to face any decent players as of yet due to the fact they are all in WOE:)
Who was the weakest opponent?
- My weakest hmm thats a hard one to pick to be completly honest there have been so many
What do you think of DN?
- DN hmm Who doesnt like a DN
What do you see for the future of WoE?
- I see in the future of woe Many wonders and lots of laughs.Oh and maybe a perminant Number 1
What do you see for the future of DN?
- All i can say about DN is Bigger is better
Do you think DerekRisen001 is sexy?
- Now derek is lovly but i have a soft spot for mellow.... honest im not lieing ...much:)

Gulio: - D.N.
How has your experience been with D.N.?
- Amazing. It was a bit tough at first being one of the few situation outside of the core 45 members. We got a few more members in 46, and we have been growing ever since.
Communication, coordination and understanding are things that DN has. Sometimes we screw up, we laugh about it (like sending 2.3k slings against 30 dogs).

What is your favorite experience with DN?
- Shames me to say, but the best experience I have had was getting on the Most needed support list. At the time, i just finished conquering a city on a "Wonder island" of an enemy alliance. I started seeing attacks come in so I asked for help. D.N. responded and shipped me enough troops to fully populate 3-4 defensive villages. Team work. So that's the best experience so far, the Team work DN has. It has nothing to do with points, or anything. It's that the alliance listens, and acts as a cohesive unit.... most of the time... when people are looking...
Who was the strongest opponent you have faced?
- Krapo From Phoenix Rising. Insane player, great strategies. was able to catch my troops at home, and dodge my retaliation attack that landed 1 second after his troops got home. He has 1600-1800 biremes (his own) and the same # of light ships. you want to talk about a 1 man team.
Who was the weakest opponent?
- IT's a toss up between Teutonic Order and The Republic. No coordination, no communication, and the plans were not drawn up properly. The biggest reason I say Teutonic ORder was I sent them all a message to attack me. And they did, without light ships to accompany. I understand that there are new players playing this game, but it's up to the alliance to train these people.
What do you think of WoE?
- Aliens / Star Trek. I can't think of Greece when I see that name. I think of some Star Trek episode where Kirk gets it on with some alien woman.
What do you see for the future of WoE?
- They have some amazingly strong players, but in a Moral world I think it's going to hurt them more than help them. Smaller players can pick on a large player and hide behind moral. They're going to have to decide what they want. Other than that, they have some very funny people in there alliance.
What do you see for the future of DN?
- No viagra.
But honestly, DN is going through some growth and changes. We're fighting a few wars on all fronts, and have yet again had some friends turn on us. This is to be expected when you exist in the top 3 of the world, it just gets old.
But for us, it's dependent on our strategy, and how well we stick to it. Our leaders are amazing, and hold us together. Because every DN members has a spine, we're able to take insult and criticism for messing up and learn from it. But I do think there's going to be an uprising soon, and sides are going to have to be taken. It took six months on Alpha for a major war where tables and alliances were turned up side down. in a 3x world, I think this will be a bit sooner.

Do you think DerekRisen001 is sexy?
- ... compared to the women in my alliance, you're pretty low on the totem. Compared to the men, talk to the women, they'll be a better judge.

HellyBelly - D.N.
How has your experience been with DN?
- My experience has been great. We have our ups and downs like any alliance but I think we've got a really good group here.
What is your favorite experience with DN?
- Drunk conquering and some of the random, hilarious, off-topic conversations we have in our secret team chat, shhhh.
Who was the strongest opponent you have faced?
- That’s tough to say. I guess based on longevity it would have to be Phoenix Risen, they have been part of the coalition against us since bp came off but they have managed to survive as we’ve always had more important targets to focus on. That wont last for much longer.
Who was the weakest opponent?
- The Flying Dutchmen by far, they had the nerve to turn on us (we were allies), then they just kind of rolled over and died, lol! For a more detailed account there is a PnP by Gulio on the externals (‘A Story of the DN’ I think is what its called).
What do you think of WoE?
- They are our brothers from another mother! They are awesome, they protect our east and we protect their west, its pretty sweet.
What do you see for the future of WoE?
- A back and forth between us the number 1 spot, and hopefully someday we head north together to take on Sim City Tea Party *cough*. Lol, Im kidding but really I just look forward to working with them more in some part of this area.
What do you see for the future of DN?
- Just more of the same old, same old; take out any alliance that dares to challenge us and continue to expand. And of course dominate the ABP rankings.
What is your role within DN and do you like it?
- I’m the leader of DN, hamster may tell you otherwise, but truthfully I do most of the work. I like it a lot, it’s a lot of work but it can be very rewarding at the same time. The large amount of mails in my inbox everyday make me feel loved. Its special.
Do you think DerekRisen001 is sexy?
- No, but I do think hamster360 is sexy, I’m into furry rodents ;)

Continued - (It was a bit long to fit it all)

Karl.b - WoE
How has your experience been with WoE?
- My experience with WoE has been a joyfull to date. We have an amazing group of players that bring joy to the game. This alone is the reason i log on every day.
What is your favorite experience with WoE?
- My favorite experience with WoE to date has been taking those alliances out that have had the nerve to try take on us.
Who was the strongest opponent you have faced?
- My strongest opponent to date. Still waiting for that one.
Who was the weakest opponent?
- all of them so far
What do you think of DN?
- What do i think of DN. Well i found them very helpful and i good aliance to deal with. Have had no problems with them.
What do you see for the future of WoE?
- For the future of WoE. Well i see us winning this world for starters. Thats a fact. Were a tight nit group that work well together. I think it should be left that way. As in not take many more players that we dont know in.
What do you see for the future of DN?
- The future of DN well things i think will get interesting when with start the world wonders. We might even some day be a war with each other for dominance of world wonders. For now ocean 54 is in such a mess. We will have to wait and see.
Do you think DerekRisen001 is sexy?
- As for DerekRisen001 been sexy. Sorry i'm not that way inclined

hamster360 - D.N.
How has your experience been with DN?
- As the leader/founder of DN, my experience in DN has been very pleasant. Sometimes it gets difficult when you have to cut people who are not maintaining our standards, but that's what being a leader is all about. It's also a little overwhelming with all of the pact requests, but we simply blocked them. There are only 2 views of the #1 alliance. Take em out, or join them. It weighs on you personally, but it's something you get used to.
What is your favorite experience with DN?
- By far it has been playing with people I play with in Delta, but this time, it's from the start. Being able to start the game with Hellybelly, Dingy, Barry69, Jomango, ongbak, jmac1969 and a few others has been awesome. There were others as well, however they felt they couldn't commit 100% to Delta, so they left Sigma :(.
Who was the strongest opponent you have faced?
- I think it would have to be "THE FALLEN". They worked well together, and were online 24/7, but we simply outnumbered them, and were able to force them out of our ocean. Phoenix Risen would be a close 2nd, but we haven't had a chance to focus on them....yet..
Who was the weakest opponent?
- The Flying Dutchmen. Without a doubt. Those scrubs were screwed from the second I said go. Within 24 hours we had probly cleared 1/3 of there cities or more. They had no idea what was going on. Then they mass mailed us to spread propaganda about how unreasonable I was about wanting them to mail us before they conquered onto our islands, after we broke up 5 or more of their cs attempts on farming runs. it was great fun :)
What do you think of WoE?
- They will be the #2 alliance until the world is over. They may fall to 3 or 4 in points in the distant future, but they are the most aggressive alliance out there, other than us, which makes them #2 in my eyes.
What do you see for the future of WoE?
- I think they will continue to own their ocean, and expand from there. Not much will slow them down, other than a war with a top 5 alliance, which I don't see happening for a while.
What do you see for the future of DN?
- Once we are able to finish off PR in 45, we can switch our focus to our expansion into 46 and 35. We are already the #1 alliance in 46, so I think we're doing well down there already. Again, I don't think that will change, unless an unlikely war with a top 5 alliance is stirred up.
What is your role within DN and do you like it?
- I am the leader/founder/diplomat/babysitter and hated step mom of DN. I like my roles because most things get done the way I like to see them and think they should be done. Of course this will rub a few people the wrong way, but with my experience as a Hun in Delta, I think I have learned enough from Sparkyste there, to be able to run a successful alliance here in Sigma.
Do you think DerekRisen001 is sexy?
- He's pretty cute, but his old lady is a freak in the bed ;)

eXpl1Cit - WoE
As a recent new member of WoE how do you feel about them?
- As a recent member, I feel honored to be on one the top alliance in this server.
How do you believe WoE performed when you were on the other side of the fence?
- When i was on the other side, it was hard for me coz all around me cities are getting conquered from you guys and i have to play a diff strategy i.e getting multiple cities in one island.
What do you think of your past alliances?
- Old alliance was kinda weak well maybe not but woe defeated them thats why.
What do you think the future of sigma holds for you?
- For me, Sigma will always be fun especially with this alliance. It's all about fun and enjoying this game + teamwork.
Who was your strongest opponent?
- Strongest opponent : lol of course diver1 he took 2 of my cities that are well defended.
What was your weakest opponent?
- weakest one : forgot dont really attack much coz i was in the woe territory before.

thorlen - Mad Tea Party
How has your experience been with MTP?
A. Its been great thus far and I'm very proud of all of our guys for what we have done thus far.
What is your favorite experience with MTP?
A. That isn't an easy one to answer as we have had a lot of good times. I'm very happy with most of our guys keeping quiet on the externals tho as it keeps us more mysterious to people that don't know us.
MTP is kind of quiet in the forum and not much is known about whats going on in your ocean. Have you had any challenges?
A. My biggest personal challenge had to have been when I was trying to get first server conquest. I was going after Anae of BW then and lost 4 CS's before anyone on the server had a second city. He was a bit over 1k ahead of me and sniped perfectly which later we came to be friends to a degree so let it go. Unfortunately I believe he has quit playing due to RL issues. Was fun times tho.
Who has been your strongest opponent?
A. As far as that goes for the alliance our biggest one has been Brothers in Arms but most of them have almost put welcome mats out for our CS's. Otherwise the biggest problem has been morale and lack of good targets due to early MTP dominance in the ocean.
What do you see for the future of MTP?
A. We will continue to thrive and grow. I'm sure there will be challenges as we go but we will meet them head on as that is just our style.
What do you think of WoE?
A. I personally have no issues with them or really any other alliance. I see a few names I remember from my time on Eps back in the day so know they have some good players. I'm not scared of them but would prefer to avoid going against them.

Tassies - Resurrection
How has the war been against WoE in your own opinion?
- WoE is an extremely good alliance. it is elite. of my opinion, we are slightly losing. WoE takes a city here and a city there. we've taken a few cities, but you guys find a way to take them back.
How has your experience in Resurrection been?
- i love Resurrection. i am one of the founders here, and i plan to stay here until the end. We have highly experienced players, and almost everyone of them are active.
Where do you see Resurrection in the future?
- i see Resurrection slowly inching its way up the rankings.
Who has been the strongest opponent from WoE?
- i must say Davesastutzman. i had him in my alliance when i used to lead genesis. one of the best players in this game.
Who has been the weakest opponent from WoE?
- Englertus or lord garithos. lord garithos attacks with a very small force of ls with every attack, and most of his attacks consist of slingers, which can be killed of easily. englertus is an idiot. Ive had him in my alliance. hes attacked me with archers before. couldn't believe it when you guys let him in.

Well that was all the interviews for this issue but I will have more to come!

Other information:
Wars continue as they have in 55 with everyone Vs. WoE and things go back and forth here and now or we just take care of an enemy. Many turtles out in the ocean lately since there isnt really much else they can do at this time so that tends to slow us down along with morale.
We have recently taken in a few players up in the north over in 54. Issues arise over there lately and much talk has been progressing with few alliances. Future for that area? Not sure...Really not sure where it will go or if it will go anywhere at all. We will see as we go day by day but in any event - :pro:

You have read the first issue so please state your responses, Thoughts and Ideas. Thank you for reading and I do really hope you have enjoyed it!

o54 = with so many alliances there is will more than likely be a playground for the bigger players around o54 to simply have fun in when their troops are idle.

Morale kills - boredom kills quicker.

I feel sorry for those in o54 as they are more than likely going to hit harder than most from 3 big alliance players looking to avoid morale losses.

If the top alliances do get along and they could use o54 as a meeting spot cleansing 054 of all the disorder and anarchy present there :)

Question is - can the top 3 get along?

WoE and DN are definitely getting along ;) the big question falls on MTP lol.

Haven't come across Thorlen here much, but back in Epsilon I did get up pretty close to him in the Yo Serious vs The Empire war, he seems to be doing a lot better here, hope MTP posts a PnP soon about some of the wars they've been having

ah so that's what happened to the Flying dutchmen.

I remember they looked promising and then just vanished overnight lol.

The Floating Dutchmen were once an ALly of D.N.

They then decided that joining the coalition of 12 alliances vs. D.N. better suited their interest. Only 2 alliances remain in what was the coalition, the other have changed / disbanded / died off / etc. They were not part of the 2.
