Wish List Third Conquest System

This Third Conquest System I'd like to propose here would revolutionize Grepolis quite a bit I think.
It would be a combination of the two already existing systems, the Old (Conquest) and the New (Revolt) and it would borrow from both to create a system where players could choose whether to Revolt a city (like in Revolt Worlds) or just send a straight CS attack (like in Conquest Worlds).

I imagine it working the following way:

After you reach level 28 academy you'd be able to research: Conquest and Revolt SEPARATELY as 2 separate techs, expensive in res but not costing any research points.

After achieving that goal it would be up to players to decide how to attempt and conquer other cities (once they've met all other required criteria, like researching cs and building it)

I imagine that Siege would last the same amount of time as each Revolt stage (for example 12h on speed 1 worlds). On the other hand, Revolts could last less time than a siege, for example 10h of Initial and 10h of Red Revolt, while siege still takes 12h.

If the conquering player sent a Revolt attack and it landed, after the Initial revolt stage was over the city would enter the Red Revolt stage. At this stage smoke would appear over such a city, visible to all players on the Map View. This smoke would indicate the city is in Red Revolt and such a city would automatically be immune to Conquest via Siege CS attack (old conquest type). This would prevent players using the old system and sending in a CS/Siege attack after another player had already put the city in Red Revolt. However, if the city is only in Initial Revolt, it can be taken with a CS attack and besieged.

This system would offer players a choice on how to attempt and take the target city. Do I use Revolt or do I Besiege?
It would also offer more interesting options, like: you spy on a stacked city and few h later you spy again and it's cleared. In such a case chances are someone hit it with a Revolt attack after your first spy got there and if you hurry you can try and besiege this town before the Red Revolt kicks in.

I think it's time to add this system, it would make the game a lot more fun to play and bring in thousands of former/new players from across the globe to the game. Am I wrong?

Thanks optimuch1.
I think this system is really worth trying out!
It could be called: Modern (conquest) system, or Combined (conquest) system.

The smoke over the cities which entered Red Revolt doesn't have to be there, instead, Initial Revolt period could be cut down. For example: on Speed 4 worlds, Initial Revolt could take just 6h, while both Red Revolt and Siege take 9h.

Another possible scenario in such a conquest world:

There's a city on a nearby island that I have my eye on. I finally spy it out and it shows no units within its walls. This could mean one of 3 possible answers: 1. The units were sent out as attack or support when my spy got there (unlikely) 2. The owner has no grepo app and is hiding his troops away in another city 3 The city has been recently hit with a Revolt attack and cleared.
Deciding to go for it, I send my SIEGE (CS) attack, with a clearing attack, of course, landing prior to it.
Both attacks face no or little opposition (the defending player, although cleared by a previous attack, still put out milita) and my CS is in!
Right away I check the Live Report and sure enough, I see a clearing attack, followed by a 2nd, no doubt,a CS attack, inbound from another player. This player must have cleared and Revolted my target city and his/her CS attack is to land right after the Initial Revolt ends.
I scramble and send additional support and it gets there before the other player's attacks.
My bir hold and I sink both, his clearing and CS attacks.

Kind of a cool stuff, don't you think?

Continuation of my ongoing scenario in this Conquest System...

However, there's still almost 8h left in my siege and my enemy, upset at losing his troops, cs and possibly a target city, notifies his/her alliance and they send several attacks to break my siege. Mind you, in this system, it's absolutely allowed to send Revolt Attacks against a sieging cs, thus, if successful, you'd not only break the siege but start a revolt in that city as well...

I notice the inbound attacks and ask for support on the forum of my alliance. They respond and several support and attacks (some of them revolt attacks) are now on their way to the city where my cs and escort are sitting.
Fun times...

perhaps you should read the en100 thread
similar proposals, with more detail, addressing inno's concerns, and lengthy discussion have taken place

With more detail? Are you sure about that?

What about this... Initial Revolt takes less time than Red Revolt, ever thought about that?

Example:

Speed 4 World:

Conquest: 9 hrs

Initial(or whatever you want to call it) Revolt: 6h

Red Revolt: 9h

This setup would equalize things a bit for the Revolt players, conquest advantage no-more.

PS. For your knowledge: I never saw that thread (en100) until you mentioned it!
