okay rather than read this whole post let me say this, First I love free he always makes me laugh but when you speak to him you sometimes feel like you are talking to a Goat on LSD, yeah thats right KB said it-lol-

Second I dont care what alliance you are in or how good they are at it any alliance who bolts is pathetic and definitely not ready for war.

Most players might start in OSG but any player with any sort of passion or even sense for the game always leaves to another alliance.

I would not care if they are ranked the highest in the whole server forget this world they are no threat to anyone or any alliance if they know how to peel a banana

Naturally if any player has no sense to know when there beaten and wish to start new cities from scratch and run away they could never be beat especially the way things are set up in this game.

Personally I love OSG and the BP I get from their bireme attacks and their fully loaded attack troop transports escorted with 3 LS-lol-

I never insult anyone or any alliance, I think this is my first time,I am so funny HEHE

KT is not OSG whipping Boys, they are just being whipped BY SE is what I think Sparkz meant.... Did I miss anything, oh yes of course I did

The Greatest KB

Surviving wars is one thing. Not being able to be get beaten because most of your players are on the rim and thus safe from the larger alliances is something entirely different :p

Not really....it equals the same thing in numerical stats. It is the same point of another thread where we are discussing if it counts taking out innactives of an enemy alliance....and like that discussion it does, because it is still stats. Rim or not, if the game says they are top 10, they are still top 10.

Aye, I completely agree with you. I'm just pointing out that OSG is only not being beaten because most of there members are faaaaaaaaaar away:p

no, taking out inactives says nothing about the skill of a player. an alliance can be enormous but if they dont know how to put together an attack then they are useless. size stats dont mean much. many path players are huge but cant fight at all and their BP stats show that they have no real experience.

your mentality, Dom, is the same as the mentality of an MRA. "size is size is size" but really skill is size and that is what matters.

I have to say I agree 1854372634940 percent with Halifax. I would rather 15 players that are active and know how to play then 150 players that are in OSG. However OSG wont last for much longer. Once free is eliminated they will disband and since KT seem to be falling apart and we took 13 cities from their mighty jeremym yesterday[3] in my pocession-lol- I bet it is killing him OSG I assume would be next.

Then I am coming for big mouth over there in 44-45

Hey I keep telling everyone I am a sim....and I love MRA's...more friends. I keep telling everyone, I just wanna be friends with everyone so it isn't about their skill.....If I could start an MRA, I would absolutely jump on it...I think they are awesome. I mean I wanna be number one, and if the only way I can do that is to have a ton of players who do nothing, I am all for it...it is all about stats and top 10 is top 10.....

Seriously, I agree with all you say about what counts etc...but realistically speaking it is all about stats. You and I both know this. When you check grepo on a war that doesn't involve you, you don't look at the activity of the players. Nope, in a year the only stats ever thrown up are the colonizations....so if alliance A is taking dead weight off of alliance B, it still shows up as a defeat/gain on the brag boards.

Why OSG will be around

OSG floats in the top ten for one reason, FreeSCV. He's a good guy, he's nuturing, he bangs out funny mass mails and he's hard not to like.

Are they a contender, no. Will they outlast many of the other top ten alliances and already have, yeah. Free's the man and a good one. An interesting fellow who gives a lot of his time to his peeps. Their junior noobs mostly, but they defend well in certain oceans.

That is all true. Free is a great guy. but there are others who help keep OSG allive, like Uncle Daler, Freestyle, and Capital. However, OSG would have fallen long ago without Free.

They dont take the game serious at all...So what if were losing cities ,getting our wigz kicked in or when a player actually learns the game they leave the alliance. They are like a pack of sheep just individually hoping the wolves dont get that one...

However I do love free

When I was in OSG, I found they were engrossed in politics and battling the mods; they had no real relevant gaming operations occuring. I mean c'mon they have there own website :heh: its like they use grepolis purely because you can create an alliance forum.

It very well may be political but who cares? For those who want to play a more casual game in a great alliance (great as in the people who play with them) OSG is a good alliance. So what if Free uses this game to further his voice....isn't that actually VERY SMART?

I have a strong respect for OSG.
They have been around a very long time and they have been an MRA for the whole time they have been around.
Just because their philosophy is not the most successful does not mean they are not successful.
Still well inside the top ten alliances on Epsilon, they are friendly and welcoming, which is a rarity itself on Epsilon, and they are keep moving forward gathering new players and shedding a few as well.
I wiush them well on their journey.
