Phrourach
Now that we are approaching the last 24 hours of BP, I figured I'd throw together a sink or swim prediction before the fighting begins.
Dingeling/Show me your Noobies Swim
The largest premade that dropped has quickly worked to solidify O54 as its core. It's full of experienced players, and I expect this team to be a strong contender on this world. They really don't have that much competition in their ocean, and it will be interesting to see which direction they choose to push once they have finished solidifying their core in the next few weeks.
True Fear Swim
Another premade that dropped along the O44/45 border. This team is also full of experienced players; however, their core is not as solidified as Dingeling/SMYN. It will be important to watch how quickly they can form a strong core before watching which way they expand. I expect this team to also be in competition for this world.
dunnpfiffpilots Swim
This is the largest alliance in O55 which looks to be the most competitive of the core oceans so far. O55 looks like it will come down to dunnpfiffpilots and House Lannister (mentioned below). Of these 2 alliances, dunnpfiffpilots has the clear size and player advantage. If they can lock up O55, they can be a contender in this world.
Shadow Float
Shadow has a really tough starting position as they are stuck between the top 2 teams in this world. Their one saving quality could be that north to O44 appears to be wide open giving them room to grow. If they can turn O44 into their core ocean, they have room to swim. If they cannot do this, then I think it will be difficult for them to thrive.
Spartans Sink
Spartans is in the same general starting area as True Fear and Shadow, but they have the least defined core. Similar to Shadow, they do have room to continue to expand in O44, but I think both teams will end up competing for the same space, and I think Shadow will end up winning that race. I think Spartans will have to rely on diplomacy/potentially a merger with another team to have a long run in this world.
Angels of Darkness Sink
From this point downward, we start getting to smaller alliances. Any teams from here on down on the list will likely need to merge with each other to have a chance to compete just due to number of members. This team is pretty scattered in all 4 oceans, and doesn't have a very defined core. I think it will be difficult for them to thrive right in the middle of everything, and they will likely become food for the top alliances if they don't try and relocate to the rim.
Keyser Soze Sink
Very similar to Angels of Darkness above. Same prediction as team above.
House Lannister Float
This team is in a better position than the 2 teams above because they are more solidifed in O55. As I mentioned above, if they are able to beat dunnpfiffpilots in O55, they have a chance to swim, but they will likely need to merge with another team and/or add more members to have a chance to do this. I predict they float for now because they do still have room to grow.
Nerv Sink
Not much to say, just not enough members to compete.
Zero Tolerance Sink
Some notable players, but again not enough members to compete.
Let me know what you all think. I'll try and put another one together once BP ends and the fighting begins.
