1- DN- Ahhh, Dixie Normous, they've held the top spot for i don't know how long. They look focused, active and they know what they're doing. However, they haven't had any major wars with other top 5 alliances so they're kind of unproven. They will hold this spot unless a such war happens
2- Warriors of Epsilon- The main alliance down in 55, they're looking good, and they've proven themselves by destroying 3 top 12 alliances in the past. Should hold the 2 spot unless DN comes over and challenges them.
3- Mad Tea Party- Haven't heard much about them, they look OK.
4- War Machine- Same as #3 but with the added fact that their average is 30000 points lower than the other 3
5- Dushan the Mighty- Looks like an MRA with a super low average of 35000 points, they also rank #9 in ABP. Won't last long.
6- NOTHING- Abysmally low average of 29000, and ranking #12 in ABP tells me that they won't last long either...
7- Pirate Nation- My alliance, my review for them will be too biased so i'll just skip this one
8- Black Watch- See #6
9- Phoenix Risen- A very strong and active core but the rest of the alliance hasn't done much lately. Locked in a war with DN that will probably destroy them and send their top players over to DN or other alliances.
10- Titans of Phoenix- The fact that they've reached member cap and they have an average of 15000 points per player just screams MRA. Enough said.
11- The Grand Zodiacs- Based in O36, they don't look like they have much competition. However, they are having small skirmishes with Pirate Nation in southern 35 which might knock them out of that ocean.
12- New Age Phoenix- Based in O43, that's all i know about them. Will probably stick around because they're out around the rim.

to morningst, the average abp/dbp for certain alliances have changed due to the fact that some have already collapsed, giving a false impression of a huge average abp/dbp, for example The Gathering

I agree. Great Job with the Stats. Kitten Smashers had a brief hiatus, and lost out on some valuable numbers. Our numbers may not tell a truthful tale. The Gathering had a huge run and have since dispersed.. rather than take on the flood of DBP they disbanded and scattered before that could happen. I am a big fan of numbers & stats, and these numbers paint a pretty picture either way.

Here's a Top Alliances list with a difference, based on numbers of cities (which is the true measure of potential military strength, as more cities = more farm spaces). All alliances with 100+ cities are listed.
The list is sorted by Average Number of Cities per alliance member, so it shows small alliances with strong individuals ABOVE big alliances with weaker individuals (though big alliances with strong individuals still come out on top !)
I've highlighted in Green those alliances whose members-rank significantly exceeds their alliance-rank ("punching above their weight"), and in Red alliances whose members-rank is significantly lower than their alliance-rank.
Thoughts !?
