Player of the Month
Based on BP per City Due to the fact that no player was on both top30 apart from myself and that defense stats had been corrupted due to loss of cities. I decided (u may contradict) that the player of the month should be

cabbagetree32PE7354.69 (does not include def)

Also special shout out to the top performance of doko900 who made 2nd place in top attackers each edition of this newspaper.

Also, not sure what impact players leaving the alliance had on city take stats... Seems to be cities lost under alliance name regardless of whether player is still in the alliance... Since i havent been online for a while i dont know the details of developments, if som1 sees a blatant lack of conquests please notify me and i will try and find a way to properly adjust.

Good work.... the one thing that does not come out in the stats (for no fault or yours) is the impact of VM...

EN & Co had been focusing on the Barbs and at one point almost 90% of its cities were out of reach as half their top order was in VM making things a little tricky...

I guess what I am saying is ....the numbers above are basically inspite of this

edit: I just noticed this was mentioned on the other thread

Yarp, barb has had the curse of like constanly having 25% of players in VM at all times and when 75% of those fail to return each time, as u have seen it causes huge issues and has very negative repercussions on the other players... Also those that do return get attacked right away since there is a gd chance they might be inactive like the rest... Its been a vicious cycle since i joined barbs and its gotten worse and worse, half the time we plan ops and an inactive player pops out of VM so we gotta put it on hold to rush after cities and waste offense... In short i wud say that if barbs crumbles for gd, its just as much cos of inactivity and the VM syndrome as it is cos of ur ops (not wanting to demean ur efforts in the slightest but the fight wud have been alot more fun)

That might be also side effect for wrongly used spies.. Instead to use their info to fight better, its been used for heads-up when to activate VM. :)

Never had the clearance for that ;) but yes spies are annoying once u rely on them too much and IMO hitting VM just postpones the problem, much better to prestack or prerevolt... Also whenever i actually found a hole in ur def or a target of opportunity we always had issues acting quickly, which is y i often jumped the gun myself and either got wiped or managed to take a few but loads less than we cud have if the whole alliance was biting at the bit, a thing we rarely were... Shame really, like i said 20 members with big motivation and agressiveness and instead or ur "walk in the park" (manner of speach, is wasn't that easy in ur eyes i hope :p) it wud more have been a "walk in a dark alley" ;)

Thank you for the stats eam!

I'm not really following things a lot, just wait until someone says who to attack. But seems we need to handle OoP as well. :)

I was thinking of making a change to how player of the month is calculated... Instead of just looking at total BP per city for the month I was thinking of switching it to Total ABP per city * Number of enemy cities conquered during the month... This would only apply to those in top10. It would reflect the total abp gained while conquering cities cos who is the better player, the one who accumulates loads of abp (which may be from ghosts etc.) and conquers only 5 enemy cities within the month or the player who gain maybe a little less abp/ city but conquers 20 enemy cities???

Any thoughts?

Yea that sounds good. And then divide it by the number of times the player has switched over to the enemy camp (since loyalty and trust in a player has to count for something). In your case, you would divide by two.

But really, we all know you're adjusting it only to benefit yourself. And we also know you wouldn't have started this whole War stats per month thing if you didn't happen to rank #1 in your system the first time around.
