In a quick nutshell:
barrie, their fearless leader, saw a revolt attack coming. Nobody came to his aid. After 12 hours or rebellion, again... nobody came to his aid.
He dissolved the raiders alliance to save himself the embarrassment of getting utterly owned for being such a bad, bad leader.
Just in case you were wondering why one of the top alliances disappeared all of a sudden.
Raiders were good. Unfortunately, their "leader" didn't know how to lead.
And now, like Napoleon on Elba, he sits alone on a deserted island with no way of colonizing out of there.
