World survey ?

So wat are the intentions with this world actually ? Will it be closed anyway ? The survey is weird and doesnt say anything about the intentions from Inno with this world, if closure is a thing how about those players that invested a lot of gold (real life money) into getting where they are now ?? I personally dont want this worl to end and i think (in reading my alliance forum) A lot of players will end their grepolis gaming all together..

So please @ Inno dont let this world end.

We've gotten a lot of questions over the years from players on these worlds not just here on the EN server but on other servers as well asking if we could close the worlds or if they will have an endgame. However we don't really have a particular stance on keeping them open as is or eventually moving to close them so we figured a survey would be a good way to gauge what the players on these worlds are thinking.

ok cool, thank you for this answer..as for me and where i stand ..keep them open please ..i play also the sandbox world with the same setteings and i love it..like many player say it playing grepolis without the constant attack alarms its cozy to play and should last forever.. is it simming ? yess definetly //but is that wrong ..nope i dont see it like that..many players also join active worlds ..sometimes to get gold but sometimes also to get the you know thrill.. but these players will be lost id the easy worlds end ..so lets keep them going.. ....1 hint tho ..raise the 20% to maybe 40/50 if you want to keep the interesst

a lot of players who are playing in the [ old worlds] as they call them are playing them for years and they do so as it is basically a safe place from all that goes on in the other worlds [ we wont go into that but we all know what I am talking about ]
you dont get too distressed or have worry to much if you lose a city as you just get another because there is no End game
these worlds are really just for fun
it is where all your old friends are a kind of meeting place if you will
as I said many players have been on these worlds for years while also playing in the other new worlds
and I think it would be a great disservice to all the players on these worlds just to shut them down even if there is a count down

I've been playing Greoplis for years - at one stage having seven active worlds on the go.
I've managed to get them down to this one which fits nicely into my life - log on at breakfast time, again at lunch and again in the evening and, in the mean time, have a life. I've been in situations of being under attack for 3 days solid to save the last remaining temple (and at a time when my son ran away, to add to my problems) and would prefer not to repeat that.
I've got 4 world winner awards so I've done the hard miles and now prefer to have a bit of gentle fun, sitting on my verandah watching the biremes sail by.
The 20% rule stops us big players bullying the small ones - which is good, if sometimes annoying.
If people find it boring then there is nothing to stop them going off to a more exciting world but they shouldn't have control over those of us who find the world worthwhile.
If the world gets so tedious that people leave there is always the 300 player limit that starts a countdown if you go below it.
In Naucratis we have a constant stream of new players coming in, some stay, some go but we have over 500 active players so are far from the countdown limit. This compares favourably with the newer fizzy exciting worlds with their 1000-1500 players.
I like this world, it has enough action, I have friends here and it it doesn't have the skulduggery that, I gather, blights other worlds.
I know it is standard form to say "if it goes, I go" but, to be honest, I don't have the stamina or inclination to start again in a bright sparkly new world, I'd probably attack the pile of reading I have that's built up due to spending time here.
Don't shut the world, those who don't like it are free to leave and let us get on with enjoying ourselves here.

I totally agree, too many players like us have inested a lot of cash building our games, not to be told it will end.

So many questions and so much to consider about the survey.
I prefer that Naucratis remain open.
It would be upsetting to have a set close date imposed. I see no reason for a set date to be considered
If the server should ever drop below 300 players, a countdown could start, and the server could then come to a natural end
Having an end game applied to the server would be immensely impactful!
What a mad scramble among alliances an end game would cause!
Would the +/- 20% attack rule be waived???
When would a countdown to an end game start?

I play on Hyperborea but it is a old world as is this one. I am on day 3127 on the daily award. If you track that back, that is when you (Inno) remade the daily award where I lost the days I already had. I have played on other worlds and was first in one and second in another and have 2 crowns. The problem with your other worlds is they always end. That is why I came to this world I got tired of building a empire only to have to start over again not because I lost but because the world ended. I am the biggest player in this world with 925 cities. I have friends here that played with me in the other worlds as well. We have all been playing for years and don't want to see the world end. I would love to be able to take other players cities and defend my own from being taken but I live by the rules I have and can only take ghosts.
Please keep the world open seems to be what I am fighting for but if you want to make the game better open it so we can take other cities or lose our own. I understand you (Inno) are here to make money and if the cities were open to conquer then more gold would be spent and we all would win.

Grepolis "survey" regarding old worlds is very one sided. It only seems to be directed towards the closure of the worlds, there is no questions about what we players think about playing there, if we want any changes or the opportunity to answer in more detail.
Personally, I think the old worlds suit my needs well. mainly because I don't have the stress of having to be connected 24 hours a day to protect my own and other player's cities. The game allows me to have a life IRL and I can play when it suits me.
That being said - please, keep the old worlds as they are.

I have been fighting Grog1 for ghosts for many years in Hyperborea - so it really pains me to say this - but he is absolutely right. Please don't kill Naucratis or Hyperborea.. If anything is to change Grep should try directing more players to both worlds to increase participation and consider increasing the building speed in Hyperborea. I think many players would enjoy going back to the original style of play if the build times were a little faster.

I don't have a timeline but the surveys went out first here on the EN server just to make sure the process worked and now it will go out to all the other servers soon. After that the results need to be looked at and if anything is decided we'll be sure to announce it but I don't have a date or rough estimate on when that might be.

People on .DK also threatened to push lawyers on INNO when they closed the endless nothingburger servers on scandinavian servers.

Surprise, online games come to an end at some point
